Door code and screen password still work for me. We've got the keyfob locked up because we have PaaK set up on both phones and PIN/Passwords set.

True. Happened to my wife......once. She doesn't want anything to do with PaaK and then proceeded to lecture me on buying a car that only works for me. That was a difficult conversation.
lol, our case is the opposite. It's her daily driver but I've been recommending taking the FOB because we know PaaK is flakey. She's been trying to make it work by sheer force of will. We're holding out on a 2nd FOB until the first update lands and we see if anything improves. If it doesn't we'll ask the dealer to make things right by providing a 2nd key

No offense to the MS fan club, but that’s scary if relying on PAAK? Will have to wait and see the outcome. Would folks have to use the key codes in this instance?
I do also have the FordPass issue BUT PAAK worked for me, wen I entered the car it asked for the passwork to start the car BUT after few seconds, it detected my phone and I have been able to start without entering the code

Once the "key" is stored in your phone, as long as your phone and car can talk Bluetooth you should be good. (I find that it's fastest if I put my phone on/next to the charging mat. By the time it's out of my pocket and there, car sees it)

Use the alt start code. My Paak does not work but that code keeps me from having to get a FoB when I move the car to do yard work.

Yep, if that happens to my wife, just once, I better be handing her my FOB or spending money to buy another.
First off my Ford Pass doesn't work either. Coincidentally, my second FOB came today in the mail and it's for my wife for this very reason (don't have our car yet just plan ahead). I know, I know, there are backup codes, etc. but I don't want to have her worrying about all of that or hearing about why did I have to buy that car, I told you so; you get the picture. Our experience in carrying FOBs is that they work almost 100% of the time, Only time we had an "issue" (inconvenience) was when the battery in FOB needed to be changed and we were down in Florida. The car "told" us the battery needed to be changed so we just had to find an Acura dealer and we did and it was taken care of immediately. That was the original battery in the FOB so it lasted from 2015 to 2020. I know Ford has them on backorder and the dealer wanted $150 and so I ordered it on the Internet for $92 (its OEM so no worries about buying a cheaper one that doesn't work). So Ford Pass or not, it will be programmed when my car comes in.

Interesting-where did you by it? Amazon? Ebay?

Did it go up or did you use something other than the Mach E one. That's listed at $129.95
Unfortunately, it went up in price. It was listed at $99 but he gave me a Veterans discount of 10%. I went on the site later and saw he raised the price. I think a lot of people are buying a second FOB and the supply is low and demand is increasing. Also, he must know they’re on national back order with Ford and they charge more.

Yup- I will wait for now. It's almost dealer price. I'm trying to fandangle one from the dealer. I'm in the same boat as you. I already know I'm going to hear it about the software glitches. I need as little friction on everything else as possible!!

That sounds just like normal PaaK operation to me. :)
