I've enjoyed reading this thread because it reinforces my belief that Ford did a pretty good job with this car. It's top of my list when I go EV. Are you finding the range reasonable and close to advertised.

Haha, reasonably close, that’s a good one?

Nowhere near!

But that’s a motor trade thing rather than something specific to the MME - motor trade always were always unrealistic and were allowed to be so about mpg figures and now EV range figures.

I do work mine hard getting barely more than 300 miles in summer and 220 in winter so a “normal” user may get another 10 or 20 miles.

However, the range is adequate and the charge infrastructure is just fine complimenting a good home charge point.

I am in agreement. Prior to my first MME in March, I normally drove about 8k miles per year. I put 5k on my 21 GT from March to June, and have put 1k on the new one since Saturday. I find every excuse to go out now that I can ?
61,600 miles and loved every one of ‘em, miles of smiles?????????

I just got my car back after 3 weeks waiting on the HVBJB to be replaced. When I got it back I immediately fell in love with the car again. There is just so much right about this car, the faults are easy to forgive. As an aside...I thought it was placebo but I'm 100% that all the updates that were performed during the replacement had an impact on the consistency in full power delivery. Previously it seemed pretty wildly inconsistent on how much power I was given when I'd put down my right foot. Now it seems to want to give all the beans all the time. Love it.

True, but actually it is a government thing, not a motor trade thing. The EU WLTP test cycle is mandatory per government regulations, just like the EPA test cycle is mandatory in the US. The WLTP test is very, very optimistic and no normal person can achieve it. The EPA test is more realistic but it falls way short at highway speeds and in the winter.
