Strange Blue bar while using NAV

That might not be enough to address the flashing blue bar. I'm not as familiar with Apple, but I know Android Auto uses both Bluetooth and wireless to connect. In fact it uses Bluetooth even if you don't use Android wireless.

So, even if you turn off wireless projection, the Bluetooth connect may still connect your phone via car play if it was ever setup before. Once the phone detects the Bluetooth network it tries to start Car play.

I'd recommend going into the settings -> phone list -> drop down menu for the phone -> click disable car play (if it is an option).

This issue is using Ford nav with Android auto. Ford nav NO android auto connected, blue bar indicated exit about 1/2. Using Ford nav WITH Android auto connected random blue bar. Using Android auto for nav no random blue bar.

This is a strange one. For anyone who has used the onboard navigation: Did you notice an odd blue bar to the right of the map instructions?

(I hope I don't need to point it out in this pic)

This seemed to randomly come and go. Sometimes it was only a flash and other times it was there for a good 45 seconds or so.

Here it is without the blue bar:

The way it pops up and goes away looks to me like the display isn't getting rendered properly (not sure if this display is also HTML or not).

Its very transient: I don't think it is trying to denote a lane...but I could be wrong.

As far as issues go with the car this is obviously waaaaay down on the list of things. Just noticed it that is all.

I just noticed this blue bar today on my commute, I never noticed it before while using the navigation but maybe that's because I mostly use Google maps.

That is pretty cool.
That blue bar and chime saved me more than once. Otherwise I might have missed my exit. 1/2 mile is usually enough time to get my daydreaming self moved over the appropriate lane(s).

The navigation in our Leaf does something like that when approaching turns. It's a great visual indicator. Nice improvement, Ford!

Did you get a software update of some kind, or did it just start doing that? Also, what's with the weird spacing on the screen? Normally the speed and turn-by-turn stuff takes the whole vertical space of the screen.

My car updated last weekend. Now works like described above.

For me, it shows soon before any turn, every time. I think it's to give you a visual that you have to do something soon. If you have the audible alerts on, there's an audible alert at the same time.

Exactly what I have noticed, it seems to be a countdown to the upcoming turn.

Correct. Appears .5 miles before the turn at freeway speeds and .2 miles before the turn on surface streets.
