Even my unicorn Microsoft Android phone works flawlessly with wireless Android Auto. What I know:
1) Android Auto works flawlessly on my Bolt, just plug in
2) I anticipated the Ford Pass/Sync4 problems based on the early MME deliveries -
a) ordered/received a second fob before I took delivery
b) always have a fob with me
3) Android Auto does not work with FordPass/Sync4
a) Android Auto does not work with Bluetooth
b) Bluetooth on, Android Auto has to be off
c) Android Auto on, Bluetooth off
d) cannot have Bluetooth and Android Auto together
4) Bluetooth allows me to access my phone; Android Auto prevents phone usage
5) Puddle lamps worked twice: once in my garage, once in a parking garage (in three weeks); know not why
6) FordPass crashes when updates are available - must go to google store to get it back by installing update from there
7) It should not be this complicated
8) Tried numerous times to fix/trick it into working, to no avail
9) My computer knowledge is Fortran, etc, waiting hours in a queue to print punch cards, 50 years ago ( why I decided not to pursue that route[worked full time/school fulltime, left no time for waiting in queues])
What I do not know:
How to make it work
Software aside, great car! Faster than one would ever require.
Love it.
Hope to see you on the Highways and Byways
SMILE and be of good cheer.
ps, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
Sadly, however, it doesn't work with the wireless charger*
*yes because the phone doesn't have wireless charge hardware/capability.
