What I know:
1) Android Auto works flawlessly on my Bolt, just plug in
2) I anticipated the Ford Pass/Sync4 problems based on the early MME deliveries -
a) ordered/received a second fob before I took delivery
b) always have a fob with me
3) Android Auto does not work with FordPass/Sync4
a) Android Auto does not work with Bluetooth
b) Bluetooth on, Android Auto has to be off
c) Android Auto on, Bluetooth off
d) cannot have Bluetooth and Android Auto together
4) Bluetooth allows me to access my phone; Android Auto prevents phone usage
5) Puddle lamps worked twice: once in my garage, once in a parking garage (in three weeks); know not why
6) FordPass crashes when updates are available - must go to google store to get it back by installing update from there
7) It should not be this complicated
8) Tried numerous times to fix/trick it into working, to no avail
9) My computer knowledge is Fortran, etc, waiting hours in a queue to print punch cards, 50 years ago ( why I decided not to pursue that route[worked full time/school fulltime, left no time for waiting in queues])
What I do not know:
How to make it work

Software aside, great car! Faster than one would ever require.
Love it.
Hope to see you on the Highways and Byways
SMILE and be of good cheer.

ps, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
Even my unicorn Microsoft Android phone works flawlessly with wireless Android Auto.

Sadly, however, it doesn't work with the wireless charger*

*yes because the phone doesn't have wireless charge hardware/capability.

yeah my S20 5G works fine with AA as well, which I've been playing with to get a feel for it since it's there. Don't have it going all the time since I really don't like it - the UI is kind of garbage, always starting in Maps is annoying as f, it doesn't really add anything if all you're wanting to do is listen to a podcast or whatever - but I've used it a few times now, all wirelessly, and it has worked very well when I have.

How about making door lock status available in Ford Pass app
I agree that a status report would be nice. The workaround I use in the myChevrolet app is to hit the lock button. Then I know I'm good regardless of whether it was already locked.

@hybrid2bev

This feedback is more for Sync 4a Navigation, maybe send it to your FordPass contact and they could pass it to the right person across the hall.

The Carpool Avoidance toggle is buried in the Navigation settings.

This is one setting that might actually benefit from being more accessible. My Maryland registered BEV is not allowed to use HOV lanes in Virginia with a solo driver, however with the correct number of passengers on a particular day I might qualify.

Navigating here on my side of the Potomac river I want to include carpool lanes when setting a route. Across the river I usually don't want those lanes considered. I imagine this sort of situation would apply to a lot of folks in and around communities that hug or cross the state borders.

Thanks

Would be great to have the following:
1. Option to control each window separately
2. Option to have all 4 windows go down only a few inches
3. In messages, make unread messages more bold. or read messages very faint. Seems they are about the same so it is difficult to determine which ones are triggering the notification.

Yeah, a 'vent mode' would be nice. It would be very useful in conjunction with remote starting when it's hot out to speed cooling of the cabin.

As stated, my phone works fine with my Bolt.
Does not work with Ford Pass/Sync4.
Not the phone. Have to figure out how to get it to work with AA and Bluetooth simultaneously.
Probably something simple, just to find simple.

1. Slow, slow, slow. Slow to connect :( so even though it's set up as a key, I look crazy standing by my car as Tesla owners snicker and watch me open the app, and hold the door open button, awkwardly smile, then jump in my vehicle.

2. Then, akwardly again, I sometimes even after unlocking car with the app, have to manually enter a code to start my MachE. It doesn't recognize the phone as a key. I have to manually go thru steps to enter code to start. Whhyyyyy.

Woody, I couldn't have said it better! My FordPass is good to unlock the doors and turn the car on. No key, no windows, and I don't know what else it doesn't do.

For those of you who have taken delivery.

If you want to provide feedback to the Ford Pass team, I know a person over there. It's too hard to consolidate all of the feedback from multiple threads so I'm starting this one.

If you have your MME and have feedback/wants/needs for Ford Pass then list them here and I'll pass them along. Just to set expectations I would not expect any responses but I know feedback is appreciated.

- there is no way to tell what version of FordPass App you have, if there is an update available, or to request an update as far as I can see. I would expect to see something under 'More->About-> with a version number, and a button to check for and download updates

- if there is no auto-update.... at least a message to FordPass App to let us know there is an update available; and of course any details on fixes/enhancements in the update would be much appreciated! and.... a way to update of course.... do we delete/uninstall the app, and download/install the new one? will that delete my painfully installed PAAK config and 'key' ?

- I'd like to see my 'vehicle' screen auto-update every hour or 15 minutes even (if bluetooth or wifi connection is available) so I could see charge progress periodically and tell when MME is fully charged.

Ummmm… updates are done via the App Store for Apple products (assume something similar for android). Set your device to automatically update your apps. When a new version is available it will automatically update.

I wonder if some of the FordPass issues are related to a weak cell signal. At my house cellular strength is not great. If the car is in the garage, it will also not get a good signal.
I would assume/hope both the app and car would switch over to wifi to upload to the cloud. Maybe not.
I question this only because the IOS app hardly works at home. If I am outside near a populated area it seems to be more responsive.
In Canada we have 2 major cell providers. Rogers and Bell. I am on Rogers.
