Well, we did try to tell you. It was much more likely that your dealer was simply wrong than that they had some special way of jumping you ahead of thousands of preorders. What reason did they give for the misinformation?
They’re calling me today so lets see what they say. I’m still an optimist so I am still hoping for good news.
Good luck. I think the best you can hope for is that they have an order that was placed long ago that has somehow lost its owner that can be reassigned to you. Short of that, I don't see how they can get a new October 2020 order ahead of pre-orders that were placed in 2019. But let us know what they say.
They called and its not scheduled! You guys have been right all along. I’m still clinging to that one slim thread of hope but its fading fast.
Yeah, it's very easy to believe information when it matches what you're hoping to hear. Especially when it comes from a source that really should know, like your dealer. Did they at least tell you what lead them to believe the informationt they gave you was accurate? Were they looking at a different order or just guessing?
I dunno! He’s calling Ford but now is telling me we’re at their mercy. He hadn’t ordered many Mach E’s and wasn’t familiar with how few cars they had with such a high demand. Add to that they’re ramping up production but right now things are going much slower. If it’s to good to be true it is! Wishful thinking on my part. ?
I would guess here that the timeframes he quoted may have been for a normal custom order Ford vehicle and he may have thoughts its the same /similar time frames. And now he goes into do actual scheduling like they normally do each week and is finding out that Mach E process is different. Just my guess.
Or he has a demo vehicle on order and assumed yours would be made at the same time as the demo?
