I don't think what you said conflicts with what I said.

Reservation holders cannot transfer reservation to someone else. If that's allowed, the reservation holder can "sell" his/her spot, and the dealer doesn't get any benefit.

I read somewhere on this forum that dealer can forfeit your reservation/order if you don't buy in 7 days. At that point, it becomes dealer stock, and the dealer gets to profit from it.

that is correct and same as us canceling - once the order is placed, the dealer essentially has the car allocated or to be allocated - so if its ordered and canceled, they get the car and can choose to do what they want I think.. I am not sure Ford system will show the order canceled. I am thinking if its canceled and teh car i snot produced the system should recognize and not produce but but once made and teh order is canceled the dealer keeps it

All, if you'd like to disassociate yourself from your VIN number, considering blanking out the checksum (9th digit) as well as the least significant sequence numbers (the last few digits).

Here's mine, masked. But at least you can see it's a 2021 MME in the A06000s sequence.

Completely agree. I was surprised the ease with which you can plug any valid VIN into the App.

It's interesting at the URL above that it finds my VIN, but does not show a production day yet. But still useful to know it is there.

Yes. The “official” Ford databases don’t show it as in production.
