Couple of suggestions to improve the frunk release:
1. Place it prominently on the top menu bar. I shouldn’t have to burrow around in submenus every time I want to open it.
2. Keep it enabled after the vehicle is turned off, the way the trunk release is still enabled after the vehicle is off.
Minor nits in the grand scheme of things, but they’d certainly improve the frunk experience ?

Not throwing shade at your love of all things frunk, but Ford hasn’t even put the Trunk button on the top ribbon yet.

I think #1 has been beaten to death, it's one click in.

As to #2, I don't follow. The trunk and frunk releases are on the same screen...

I would also like to add one thing to the list.

Let the remote start stay on when the frunk is open! This is legacy ice behavior. Remote start would not continue to work with the hood open so people wouldn't get injured. There's no engine to get injured on this time!

But when you turn off the car (before opening the door), the frunk button turns gray and isn't clickable. The trunk button stays active.
Ah. I open it so seldom I hadn't noticed. So, you need to hit the button and THEN turn off the car. That does seem like a hardship... ;)

Well ... someone has to make this comment so it may as well be me.

Before we talk about "improving" the frunk release ... can we at least HAVE a frunk release?

I'm still sitting with my '21 Job 1 ... and we still don't have an update to enable it. Being told to go to the dealer and have to pay to have them apply an update that was supposed to come with the car doesn't exactly do much to build brand loyalty.

Give the BEV team a call and see if they'll authorize your dealer to do the updates.

But they toss the CarPlay button on there when the same button is at the bottom of the screen. They also have a camera button on there and the cameras come on AUTOMATICALLY (no buttons needed). So I don’t think it is unreasonable.
They are in the same screen but the frunk button is disabled when the car is on - go figure.

You shouldn’t have to pay. It is a very quick thing and the dealer should do it out of goodwill.

Especially if you just want to grab something out of the frunk after you’ve turned off the car.

The cam button was a nice add to the ribbon. They don't come on automatically in all instances (such as an open parking lot) and often not until you are uncomfortably close to other object. Agree that the CarPlay button in the ribbon is weirdly redundant. I don't use the frunk nearly enough that it would need to be in the ribbon for me, but the trunk for sure.
