Sunglasses holder misaligned

Does anyone else’s sunglasses holder look misaligned like mine?
Every so often when I punch it off the line, it comes open and my glasses fly into the backseat.

Mine looks exactly the same as your picture. It doesn't open on its own however.

The sunglasses holder is sub-par. Lots of comments on it in this forum. I’m not willing to get my torch and pitchfork out over it. (I reserve that for HVBJB and bricked 12V systems.). I had to stop using it and the sunglasses now live in a padded case in the huge tray under the phone charger. The holder ate my sunglasses and threatened not to give them back. I had the same problem with an Acura RL. It is not hard to design this correctly…they just didn’t.

Yup, same problem here. My sunglasses were trapped in the sunglasses holder for 10 days or so until I could get to my dealer (for other issues). I'd been using it on/off for a year with no issues, same sunglasses, so not sure why they got trapped THAT time. . They had to remove it to free my glasses.

All four cars have a misaligned glass case holder because they latch only on one side the spring tension causes it to lean to one side or the other depending on the car you have this is considered normal.

mine looks the same. Im going to address it with my dealer when I go in for service. my glasses don't fly out of the holder but it just looks weird.

Mine also looks the same. The closing system is a very chintzy design. I'm just waiting for the day when the frail pin breaks and renders my cubby useless.

Crap. Sorry I did this to you. Now it’s going to bug you.
It reminds me of Grand Caravan I used to own. When the shifter was in drive you could see a huge gap in the shifter assembly trim. One time when I took it in for service I went to the showroom and asked the salesman if he could unlock one. He asked why and I told him I wanted to see if they all have the gap. He was there is no gap. So I showed him on the brand new car and he was pretty sad because he had never noticed it before and now it’s going bug him.
Tells you a little about quality control on American cars.
Don’t get me wrong, 95% of my cars have been American brands. But they all suck when it comes to quality control.
My 2011 Mustang GTs airbag cover on the steering wheel had a huge deformity from the casting mold. It was there from 2010 to 2015 when the came out with the next gen.

Please try and remember to reply to this thread if/when you ask your dealer about this, I'd be curious what they say. My MME is only about 2 weeks old and the misaligned holder has been driving me nuts
