Today I tried a OBD scanner with my machine-e and when removing it, I accidentally something else too.
This is the Veepak obd scanner attached to the pass through adapter connected via a wire

Can anyone confirm if thier Mach-E has this? Or is it even normal? If not, do anyone know what it is?

There have been a few other threads about this - if you don't have a dashcam or similar 12V accessory that the previous owner may have installed and powered with a splitter like this, then the most likely example is a dealership GPS tracker that they left in the car. I'd trace the wire and see what it is connected to. Did you buy (or were offered but declined) some kind of GPS/theft-protection/lo-jack device with the purchase?

And I am not sure of being asked about such thing. Should I call the dealer?

They put these on used cars and you may or may not have agreed to it in your contract. I brought the device attached to mine back to my sales guy. He admitted I did NOT authorize them to use it and didn't try to re-install it. I don't think there is anything preventing them from installing it, but unless you have wording in the contract that specifically states you have to have it installed you can just toss it.

Would leaving it unplugged be just as good as rooting around trying to find it?

Maybe one of those insurance "we'll monitor your driving and maybe give you a discount" things?

The new versions of these trackers are not even plugging into the OBD port. On my wife's new Hyundai, it was wired to the underhood fusebox and double-sided taped to the frame. Has built-in GPS and cellular so doesn't need OBD data. Dealer confirmed it was Lojack type device they "forgot" to remove. Used to prevent lot theft but also to sell you anti-theft service.
