Can you check your Sync build version now under General - About Sync

I'll be curious if the 2025+ models get a different version

So here’s what you get:

1. All the stuff they list in the release notes. I guess the preconditioning in ACP is a nice plus, in winter.

2. You get a new pony startup and shutdown graphic. You’ll see it in the video below.

3. You get a new icon on the top ribbon to select phone. A feature literally nobody asked for. Instead of a trunk button there that tons of people have asked for….

… and here’s the best part: @Ford Motor Company screwed up so that the phone selection screen opens up and you have to X out of it EVERY TIME YOU START THE CAR. I’ve now tested it five times. Here is the video:

That's odd. It doesn't do that on my car.

Well then that makes my current count at 2 cars with the phone list on every boot and one without.

Why would it not just automatically select the phone you got into the car with (assuming in this case that you're the only one who got into the car with just your phone). I mean if there's only one phone in the car...why would you have to pick from a list....?

My experience with this is somewhat limited. I don't connect a phone to either my MME or Lightning, just my Bronco (I don't have nav in the Bronco). And since I'm the only one that brings a phone into the Bronco...I don't get asked, Carplay just auto connects and shows my maps.

Never thought the ā€˜21s would get more updates. Sweet! And Apple Maps preconditioning!!!

OK Ford, new wishlist, in reverse order:

1. Pinch to zoom in Apple Maps
2. CarPlay video support when parked

Give me #2 and I’ll be happy forever. šŸ™

Why indeed. I mean, I know there are rare instances where one might have to toggle phones… but why that would merit adding this button to the top ribbon is just ridiculous. And again, it isn’t just the button - now the phone screen greets you on every startup.

The Apple Maps preconditioning is awesome! I still really want a manual preconditioning option. Road trips are dynamic (ā€˜honey, find a rest stop in the next 15-20 miles…’) and it’d be nice to just start the protocol without adding the charger to the route.

I know we’re late in the game here, but I still think the 2021-2023.5 cars could have a more optimized charge curve to shave time off the 10-80%.

The below session was pretty optimal for my car back in March 2026. Adding 32% in 15 mins for a 2021 GT only yields about 75 miles of road trip range.

Nice update. But, does it also affect Google Maps when CarPlay? Anyone that could test?
Android or iOS? I thought it already worked on Android. I wouldn’t be too surprised if other mapping apps on iOS don’t support it. But if turn by turn directions work on the binnacle (do they?) then it does who knows.

I was wondering earlier how you even test if this is working.
