Hey Everyone,

Was thinking of getting my headlights and tali lights tinted/ wrapped . I like the all blackout look. Was wondering if anyone has done this or any reason I should not do this am I overlooking anything ? Thanks for the feedback.

Wouldn't go too dark with the tint as it becomes a safety hazard and may be illegal in your state (similar to how window tint is defined).

You can find MachE kits to DIY this yourself online and they seem easy enough to not screw up too bad.

Here are a couple links for you.

Especially this post within that thread:

short summary: even a light smoke to the headlights lost a huge amount of illumination. While still legal for my State’s Vehicle and Traffic Code, it was NOT worth the decreased visibility on my country roads.

Tint on the taillights … that’s a sweet look that even my wife had me do to her car. Rock on with that one

You might consider tinting half of the tail lights, like @markboris did. I think it looks great, and I might do the same to my car. Still thinking about it...

That’s my recommendation.
Light smoke tint on the headlight cost me over 2/3 of their output. Still brighter than my F-150 stock bulbs but I ended up swapping those for high output LEDs because they sucked.
