I know that, thanks. Not a real replacement. When you are charging, you are often in the car doing something else on your phone. Btw this is the main reason my wife doesn't use tesla sc on her trips.

Tesla's software and tech hardware is far superior to the Mach-E. Just going into the trip details causes audio stuttering. It's like they put old Pentium CPUs in these cars. Very laggy and underpowered. The software is also much better.

Tesla's software and tech hardware is far superior to the Mach-E. Just going into the trip details causes audio stuttering. It's like they put old Pentium CPUs in these cars. Very laggy and underpowered. The software is also much better.
That's very annoying! Every time I'm listening to music and go anywhere in the screen, the audio stutters. It's absurd that the infotainment hardware was never updated. Didn't even have to upgrade the screen, although it's far from class leading, just the chip.

Btw, I test drove the EV9 GT-Line yesterday. It's also a buggy, non-intuitive software, but it's snappy!

Dog mode has been requested for a long while. Not a comment from Ford.

But even if an extremely basic feature existent on every other EV I know of, which is the ability to see how fast I'm charging, hasn't been implemented after 3.5 years, not having dog mode doesn't surprise me.
You can see how fast the car is charging in the energy tab on the mobile app.

I seriously doubt you’ve owned a Model Y. The number one thing I want is Sentry on all the EVs I’ve owned. Don’t care about Dog mode. Hyundai/Kia/Genesis/Toyota have Utility or Room mode also.
Excuse me? I can provide you with Vin and Ford dealer where I offed the Y.

including the absurd battery drain of sentry?? It’s laughable. But would like 5r cameras to be useable while driving so you dont need a dash cam.
For the 1% (maybe 2%) daily loss? Sure I want it. You can disable it by location too. You can also watch folks live if you enable live preview.

Auto recording dash cams is the second option I would want on all EVs.

I have had a Lexus RZ, a 2021 Mach-E first Edition, a Tesla Model Y and currently a "24 Mach-E Premium. No need to discuss the Lexus. Frankly, the only thing the Tesla has over the Mach-E is the "Dog Mode". The Dog Mode keeps your car cool while you run into the store etc. A message pops up on the screen showing inside temperature and stating my owner will be back (don't call the police). The rest of the Tesla software is a distraction or "boy toys" like lights flashing, windows going up and down while music plays. Really? A software update for "dog mode" in Mach-E would be useful, appreciated and should not be too difficult.

There are a few things I wish the MME had that my Tesla did:
- Dog mode
-Carwash mode
-Side view shown on the screen when you turn your blinker on
-The position of the seat when it goes to easy exit. My wife is significantly shorter than me so it's nice that the seat backs up so I can actually get into the car after she's driven, but it's so far back that she can't reach the pedals to have her foot on the brake when she hits the start button. The easy exit position should be adjustable and remembered by the car.

The side view camera thing might be hardware dependent, but the others are purely SW and should have been addressed by Ford a long time ago.
Do you not have to seat programmed to a key/profile? My '24 moves the seat when I open the door.

Besides the camera and most of the software being superior, at least Tesla hasn't screwed their early adoption customers like Ford has done by stopping software updates on the older EV's (like my 2021).
My son's TESLA is a year older and he still getting significant updates on features and capabilities from TESLA.
IMO, TESLA has a significant rich feature package. For example, to be able to see cars in lanes next to you, keyless entry that seems to work all the time, superior hands free driving vs blue cruise which you are lucky if is available and will stay engaged for longer than 30 min, the surveillance system, etc. Not to mention Doggy mode.

And a significantly larger frunk. Ford replaced the nice frunk with a fairly useless nano-frunk for 2025 ?
OT How much smaller is the new Frunk? I'm looking at replacing my MY with a 2025 Mach E partly on the assumption the Frunk would be the size of the 2024 one I looked at.

As a current Model Y owner, the simplicity of the charge network and speed of charging plus the under floor storage / Frunk are the only benefits of the Model Y. The truly awful Adaptive Cruise, wipers and customer service ruin any possible benefits out side of the above.
