Huh? Tesla vision monitoring system allows you to wear sunglasses. So in other words, they didn’t have hands free because they didn’t have driver monitoring.
And as a bonus, they didn’t add it until they were forced to and it’s STILL easy to trick.
Tesla has a bad history of pushing the limits of safety until regulation pushes back.
Worst part? You can trick it just by putting sunglasses on and using the same stupid steering weights people have used for years-
Their monitoring system sucks if you can’t wear sunglasses
Also tesla system detects steering wheel weights and has for years. It recognizes the constant torque and disables FSD and issues a strike.
FSD didn't have hands free because they didn't implement it. They did have driver monitoring for many years before hands free was added.
People forget that tesla only got hands free last year because instead of doing hands free, they were treading thin ice with the features they were adding to the cars.
