And as a bonus, they didn’t add it until they were forced to and it’s STILL easy to trick.

Tesla has a bad history of pushing the limits of safety until regulation pushes back.

Worst part? You can trick it just by putting sunglasses on and using the same stupid steering weights people have used for years-

99.9% people did not use this. It was a small trick left open for youtubers who probably used them to make FSD videos that were cleaner without steering wheel nags.

I opened the tesla app and looked at all the features that were there and in the car.

They have remote start and lock/unlock so you can remotely allow the car to be unlocked and driven by anyone or by someone who lost their key.

They have sentry mode 360 recording at all times while driving and parked. You have a clip viewer in the mobile app that streams recorded events from the car like it is a server. Works really well.

You can talk to people outside your car using the megaphone function and even flash lights and honk the horn. All while watching and listening to them on live video.

You can remotely monitor passengers/pets inside the car.

You can see the speed your car is driving and where it is located at all times.

Custom music and lock sounds from the external speaker is a really obvious one. Surprised more cars don't allow you to change the lock sound considering the external speaker is required.

Tesla car turns display turns on instantly when you get in and there is no lag like other cars when it first starts up. It is ipad like smoothness for the entire time you use it.

In the tesla app you have full control over the car remotely and can do almost anything you would ever want. Instead of climate on/off you can change any setting like turning on a specific seat heater.

You can also summon the car to you from across a parking lot.

if someone gets in your car they can drive it? with no key and using the start code? That's not quite the same because the tesla variant involves sharing no code and is a one time use permission to drive the car.

yes but then it is a code you need to remember every time you change it. Tesla has a key card to open the door and/or remote unlock/start which is easier.

Tesla also has no limit on phone as a key. You can have as many phones as you want and can remove any devices at any time. You can also set speed limits for every profile

the point is NOT for you. You have a phone key which is why you don't need a wallet. The key card is for valet or someone else to borrow your car

The key card is linked to a driver profile and you also have valet mode which reduces acceleration and sets a speed cap

Key card can be left inside your car for all it matters

If I am leaving a key card in the car why not just leave the keys in?

And @tobiasjef we also have a valet mode (which can use a different start code) you can hand them a slip of paper with the code, or write on the back of their paper ticket
