Yeah, I'm amused by videos from otherwise smart people who seem to totally miss this point. ("Why do I have to 'start' it?") and then I think about people like my dad who would be totally lost in a Tesla. I think over time you can gradually transition people into a new paradigm, but if you do it all at once, you're throwing away a huge potential market. (as much as I wish you could do it all at once).

(I'm already dreading the huge pushback I'm going to get from showing up with a Mach-e as it is, which i'm going to counter by showing the maintenance schedule.)

Speaking as a woman, perhaps it's the cyber orange paint that's the problem.

Mine is Grabber Blue and I've gotten many compliments on it, mostly by women of all ages.

Side story, my hubby used to drive a red Corvette, one day as he was leaving the video rental place (yeah, that long ago), the cute teenager on the register asked if that was his car. "Why, yes" he replied. Then the killer question "Do you have a daughter my age and do you let her drive it?"

My car gets way less attention now than it did a year or so ago. There are a lot of them in the Bay Area though. I rarely go for a drive and not see another one. I think the attention has been evenly mixed gender wise.

Is true, people probably don't even notice Teslas anymore. Literally every 3rd vehicle in my area is a Tesla, I notice only because I'm am EV guy now ?

I've owned quite a few sports cars and quite a few not so sporty cars and my Mach-E GT has received waaaay more compliments and looks from women (20ish to 40ish) than any other car that I've ever owned.

You guys talk about your Mach-e but try driving a Bolt (2019) and let me know how that goes. I had one female compliment it and my teenage son would have never believed it possible had he not been in the car at the moment.
