Tonight I added wife's phone and PAAK as she is going to drive it more. She isn't a big fan of phone calls through car but told her much safer. Well of corse the damn thing kept going back and forth from Bluetooth to her phone.

Overall system kept going in and out so seems like maybe an issue as clock reset this morning to a time about 3 hours into future. Also, seem to have lost auto brights but says it enabled. Love the car but software is rough with so many resets while driving and having to wait to hear music.

Hopefully adding a 2md phone didn't use up the little memory it seems to have.

The interesting part is that it's not just a car especially when most of the controls are accessed via the center console monitor or the phone ne app.
Its ALL software… so its not “just a car” anymore.

That said. Ford is second to Tesla software. Other electric cars really really suck. The latest Fordpass update gets it a little bit closer. Still far off though.

The car is great. Ford knows how to build a great car. The software needs to get better though. And since it is software… they can update it without having to buy a new car to get it.

Btw. I never carry a FOB. Just my phone. Never had an issue with my 22 mache or my newer one.

We are so sick of the software on this stupid car. If it hadn't lost $40K in value since we bought it, I'd trade it in for another Lexus or Toyota. Really, this software is so inconsistent, and poorly laid out why bother with updates? it only changes things and breaks things. My 2013 Rav4 EV was much better. I am really starting to hate this car. It is definitely not compatible with two drivers. PAAK stopped working, then sort of started again. It sometimes takes several minutes of dicking with the screen to get it to even connect to the phone. It seems now we have to stop the car, shut it off, open the door, and then restart and it will connect. Who wrote this shit software, Microshaft? Is it running windblows? FFS. When this car got rear ended I prayed they would total it. No such luck. I'm stuck with this stupid car and to make it worse, Ford keeps sending me emails that they want to buy it for $20K and the dealer keeps sending me offers for a new 2024. FK you ford. I put $20K down on this thing and it is lost. what a waste of money. Otherwise, other than the creeky rear end, the car is fine. Just the software sucks ass.

The car's software is without a doubt the worst thing about the car. Ford knows how to build a good car. It's solid, fun to drive and IMO the best looking EV out there. But the software? Fordpass feels like it was written by an intern. The in-car software feels like it was designed by an ICE guy trying to survive in a techy EV world.

They really need to pouch some Tesla software engineers because it seems like they built the software first and then a car around it second.

The suspension is the worst thing about the car. The software could be better, but hasn't been a big problem for me.

I support everything written above. is there anyone here who works at ford? Ford actually hires developers, and as a user and owner of the Mach e, I would like to improve the software. In my specialty, I 100% match their developer vacancy. I applied twice, and twice I received a strange refusal - you don’t match the vacancy. I wish I could do this, but their verification bot won't let me through.

That may be your experience. It is, however, crystal clear that suspension/ ride comfort/discomfort issues are highly localized. In your situation the car may seem awful. For others the use conditions are such that the car is a dream. Where I live, the car is a dream. I tend to like a firmer riding car. Where I live the roads are for the most part very good. For me, the car works. I’m sorry that for you that may not be the case. I am not dismissing or minimizing your experience. I am only saying ride/handling/comfort issues are highly individual matters.

As are the software deficiencies. They don't bother me, but other owners get quite agitated.

so true. I don’t get too agitated about the software stuff. The car works. Updates? Ok, whenever I guess. I do hope the suspension can be sorted to your liking so you can fully enjoy the car. I guess I’m lucky the roads here are decent and I like the firmer ride. ?

The suspension does not bother me. But passengers complain bitterly, particularly when riding in the back seats. Roads here are very good, but occasional bumps and depressions exist, as they do everywhere, and they can cause quite a jolt for back seat passengers.

I did replace the original springs, and that helped significantly.

Kiss my Ass. Not whining. This is the most expensive car I have owned and not my first ford, but I am not getting what I paid for.

The suspension seems fine to me, Only a little creak now that the rear end has been taken apart twice due to people hitting this car. I think it rides great. It does take getting used to the ultra low center of gravity. My Rav4EV had the same feel, so this was natural to me by the time we got the MME. Like other said, it may have a lot to do with road conditions.

I am an Automation Engineer. I could improve this HMI immensely. I think they use cheap software labor from third world countries and pay them 35 cents an hour. Good hunting. Ford only seems to respond to "I love this car" posts. Ford's lack of attention is making me consider a GM truck when It's time to replace my Adrenalin.

You try enjoying a $60K car that doesn't reliably connect to your phone, play music, etc. my 2009 explorer never had a problem, and the $200 aftermarket full screen stereo I put in it recently works better too.

Someone wanted specifics on software issues, here are 3 that bug me. And one feature that i really like
3 stupid software bugs:
1. When you click on the youtube app and it says you need to connect to wifi, when you click on the button to connect to wifi, it takes you to the connectivity screen. I connect to my hotspot on my phone and click close. instead of going back to the youtube app, it just goes back to the car settings screen and you have to again navigate back to the youtube app.
2. while watching youtube, if you get a text, instead of the notification just popping up on the screen, the screen switches back to the carplay screen to display the notification. you then have to navigate back to the youtube screen.
3. whenever you are done watching youtube, instead of switching back to whatever you were playing on carplay, it switches to 540 on AM radio, this seems incredibly stupid.

1 software feature I like:
If you ever lose your keys, Being able to unlock the car with a passcode and start the car with a password is a fantastic feature that I don't think any other car has.

They might be, but the sad truth is that even "domestic" software development is crap these days in the majority of shops. However, it's not really the fault of the engineers, and more the fault of management types who keep saying "we'll fix it in a patch."

Good hunting. Ford only seems to respond to "I love this car" posts. Ford's lack of attention is making me consider a GM truck when It's time to replace my Adrenalin.
Are you referring to the @Ford Motor Company account on this forum? Would you feel better if they replied? I hope you realize that they aren't going to be much help. That's a social media account that appears to be a cheerleader combined with someone that will forward your VIN to a dealer for repair issues.

Oh, and GM isn't any better. In fact, GM is actually LESS in touch with their customers than Ford is.
