Just commented on Mike Levine and Jim Farley's twitter. Nothing nasty just how unpleasant the reservation system is since it isn't really followed.
I’m going to do the same, as soon as I get a chance. And, yes, I think being civil is the effective response.

I have started wondering if hitting up Mike Levine on Twitter would see any results or satisfaction. He seems to be pretty active and has responded to some other issues, and this really does seem to be egregious. I just cannot fathom that tracking something worth in excess of $40k is not extremely important, and not all that hard to accomplish. We live in an age where so much is being tracked, right down to the minute.

I have been very slow to be critical of Ford, because I have a position where I have to manage communication and expectations of clients/customers, and sometimes it is very difficult to tell what will cause more trouble, and what will solve. And, then you also have so many factors that fall outside your control. Tracking these cars is 100% within Ford's realm of control.

I have a Twitter account, but hardly ever use it. My small business uses the heck out of their account on Twitter, as a marketing tool. I've wondered if reaching out to Mike Levine on Twitter would be more effective to send from a hardly ever used but personal account, or a much more active, with many followers, business account.
I have no doubt that upper management at Ford knows exactly where the cars are and why they are not being delivered. They have elected not to share that information with CS reps or the dealers. Like you said, it might cause more trouble than it solves to release the info.

I’m on the getting frustrated front. Ordered within minute on reveal night and a 6000 reservation number. Build in December and supposedly here this week (after original delay of month plus) but my dealer says their system is now saying May (Ford website still shows this week). Really thinking I should just order a new order to ensure a quality car. Concerned if my car ever does show up if it will be like new or had so many issues it won’t be / or battery issues from sitting in KC all winter for whatever reason. Mostly I just would appreciate a little transparency. Still want the car but hard to be patient as feels like one of last original reveal night people to get a car (if it comes).

What

What number did you call? I need answers on my own car...
I spoke to the Customer service representative at my dealership who in turn spoke with the “ Ford representative “
Honestly don’t know what these specific people do.

I feel the same way.
Mine also built in December and the vin and order nr tracker here now says May.
I see people whose cars were built much later receiving or soon to receive theirs.
A new order would likely have none of the issues as those would have been corrected and likely to arrive sooner than mine

My hope is that these initial hiccups in the production and shipping processes get sorted out and a more normal timeline kicks in.
I am also mostly ok waiting. This is a 'want' purchase, not a 'need'. My Malibu is doing just fine.
That's what most folks said back in December. It hasn't gotten better honestly. Mine was diverted to Dearborn from KC and no one told me until I raised holy hell about it.

Maybe Ford needs to do away with the whole assigned VIN number system and instead as cars are available with the correct options, send in the order of reservations. This is maddening.

OK, I have resisted being grumpy about this process but I am starting to lose it.

the reservation system is a joke. We all are seeing how many newer orders are getting deliveries months a head of people that reserved 6-10 months ahead of them. Then cars that were built months ago sit and sit at different locations with dealers and customer service reps having no idea where they are, why they are delayed, and no reasonable guess as to when they might be delivered. Delivery dates come and go and when they come, suddenly a new estimate a month or more away shows up.

this is just sad to say that had I bought a tesla, yes I may have had some flaws but at least I would know when I would get my car. As a Ford stockholder this gives me doubts that Ford is truly getting out of their old school customer service cave.

stockmarket says Tesla is worth 10x what Ford is. Beginning to wonder if it is true. You can’t treat customers this way.
I agree, the dealer network is only partially to blame for this problem. Ford leadership is the real problem. If they do not prioritize customers first then this is what happens. They view the market as a single object (Dealers) and do not think individual customers matter. I have observed my exact car available from dealer inventory at large dealerships, but my small town dealer is low in priority and has not sen=en a single car yet, mine will be the first.

So what is the formula for raising un”holy hell”?
asking for a friend ?

e-mails to targeted people, twitter, annoying the hell out of my dealer and placing a deposit down on a Polestar 2 and letting my dealer know i wouldn't cancel the reservation but rather the winner would be who showed up first. Also i pointed out to my dealer that their not knowing anything was BS and all they had to do was pick up the phone like i did, but they had more resources than I did.

So, I almost feel bad for posting this, but hopefully this brings a little hope to everyone else. Just received this via text from the salesman at my dealer:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Thread for people who haven't gotten their Mach-E's yet to be grumpy in MachE

My original delivery date was 3/16. I found out two days ago that my MME had been delayed for quality control. When my dealer told me on Wednesday, the next time I checked the Ford Order Tracker, my ETA had been changed to 4/13. I more or less gave up (on an immanent delivery) and came to this thread for my first time. And now, here it is. What a *&$@ roller coaster.

The other peculiar part is that I got the text almost two hours ago, and Ford's tracker still shows it as being undelivered. I thought, from others that I have seen post, that the tracker usually updated a little quicker than that.

Bless you all; I hope that unexpected and quicker deliveries are in your future.

I just got off the phone with the dealer... My car was scheduled to be delayed until late April according to Ford's tracker and now it will be here tomorrow. Thankfully! There is hope everyone

I regret to inform you all...but I will be leaving the grumpy group. My Mach E arrived, unexpectedly about a week prior to the new adjusted ETA date with no notice. I am now a proud Mach E owner!!!

Hang in there. Hound your dealers, don't give up. And ask for everything, expect nothing less!!!

Best of luck to everyone.
