I'm cranky because my car was delivered to Union Pacific on 10/2 in Kansas City, and now it is in a black hole from my perspective until it shows up at the dealership. I asked my sales rep for a VVR update to hopefully at least get what train car it's on, but he just parroted the estimated delivery dates I already have from the tracker.

Harrumph.

I got this until I just went to the dealer and asked for another sales guy and asked him to get off his lazy ass (in a nice way) and find out where my car was right now. He came back with a paper VVR printout which I said I'd be taking.

Once you have a VVR you have ???? tracking ability so it's worth going to the dealer and not leaving until they help you.

I'm pretty sure that it's not a requirement to have a smart phone to be able to use this car.

Is "activate now" the same as "Activate Vehicle"? And if you click it do you get anywhere? I have Activate Vehicle on my FordPass app and I'm pretty sure it was even there before I got word that production had started. Also it won't complete the activation when I click it but that makes some sense to me since the car isn't here.

Maybe tomorrow for me. They sent out a tech to the Port of Richmond to jump start the car. He said the car started and best case it will get delivered tomorrow. I will believe it when I see it...still grumpy

How long did it take to get to Richmond from KC if you know? That's where my car is going for northern California as well.

I suspect now that the railroad tracking is inaccurate for my car, and that it probably isn't sitting in a railcar in Kansas without moving since October 5 in the morning.

Pester your dealer to get the full VVR. It has more data than just the dates.

shippedd 9/21. still pending in palsapp with a bunch of nulls for other dates. Maybe they are waiting for another train to come in so they have enough to fill rail cars to Denver?

Picked up my spanking new MME yesterday. Space white Premium x AWD. For anyone interested in timeline…. Ordered 4/27/21, received letter about 6 week delay 8/13/21, email saying built 9/11/21, 9/14 email stating delivery scheduled to dealership 10/16-10/22, email from dealership 10/5/21 saying vehicle had arrived. Picked it up 10/8. Very happy camper!

My train info is still only giving the update from October 5 in Kansas. I am betting that the tracking system is off for that car somehow instead of the car being stuck somewhere....
