Three unknown recalls??

Hello,

I just called a local service department to schedule my 10,000 mile service on my 2021 standard range, AWD MME. This is the first time I've needed to take it in for service since I purchased it in December 2021, so this is a new dealer/service department for me. The woman asked for my VIN number, and when she ran it, said there were three recalls on my vehicle, all from 2022. She said she would need to replace some parts for some of them, and that it might take a while, so I would need to schedule another appointment to have those fixed. I've never received any notice about these recalls however. Is there anywhere I can go to check outstanding recalls? The only notification I received for recalls since I purchased the car was for the HVJB update, so I am both surprised and confused as to how I would have three recalls and not know about it. Any advice is much appreciated!

Update: I checked the Ford VIN lookup site, and it says I have no recalls, but lists two CSPs? Could that be what the woman was referring to? And what exactly are CSPs?

A csp is a customer satisfaction program. It isn’t enough to be a recall but are recommended. It can help fix smaller issues.

I’d call back and ask for the recall/CSP numbers and see if they match what you found. Since this is your first experience with this dealer, it’s possible they mis-keyed the VIN when they looked it up.

Yes, dealers tend to lump CSPs in with recalls because they show up in the same area of Oasis.

A CSP is much like a recall, but it's not typically for a safety issue, so NHTSA isn't usually involved.

The attached show the two I found on the Ford site, but I remember her saying something about brakes too. Should I assume these are not immediate causes for concern and I can safely drive the vehicle until fixed? I'm guessing as much since these were apparently from 2022...but I wanted to make sure. ?

Those are not critical. One improves HVAC performance, the other fixes a compatibility issue with certain DC fast chargers. The latter might be important if you are planning a long trip or might otherwise need to do a lot of DC charging.

The mismatch in the count (2 vs 3) is why I previously mentioned the possibility of the dealership looking up the wrong VIN.

There‘s also a CSP to replace the wiring connectors on the rear brake calipers for the emergency brake. It’s newer than the others, so doesn’t show up in the app yet.

That actually sounds very much like what I remember hearing, so I am guessing that is it. That would be okay to wait on as well, correct? Just want to make sure before I drive a bit this weekend. ?

Yeah, you can wait. If they were safety issues, they’d be recalls instead of CSPs.
