I think you're going to have to wait for Mach-Es to be delivered to consumers so that the aftermarket can get their hands on one to see if it is possible.
You will not see anything official from aftermarket suppliers before the cars are released. They don't have earlier access to the vehicles than anyone else. Even after they're released, it will likely be a little while before they can get their hands on one to see what's possible.
Agreed. In fact I spoke with the folks at Torklift April. They basically offered us that the first person to bring in a Mach E would get a free hitch because that first vehicle would be used to develop the hitch everyone else would need. I'd jump on that but Kent, WA is a long drive from the east coast for a trailer hitch.

At least they're sticking with the tow hitch being available in Europe. That should mean that there are mounting points that aftermarket options in the US can use.

I'm fairly certain it is an SUV due to the EPA, not Ford.
Would have made life so much easier if they had just included that on ours, too.
