The Lyriq feels roomier. When I lay the backseats down to haul dogs, the resulting space is maybe 4 inches longer. The back window doesn’t slope as much as in the Mach-e, so there is more dog room there too.

The Lyriq doesn’t have a frunk, but there is adequate storage space. There is no spare tire or even a tire kit in the compartment under the back floorboards, so I can use that for storage. I am older, so I have changed a lot of flat tires in my life. I am uncomfortable (even with self-repairing tires) accepting on faith that there will always be someone nearby to help in the event of a flat.

My wife likes that there is ample space for a purse in the front seat area.
modernspare.com would solve the no spare tire issue.

I like the way cruise control works in the Mach-e better. When I push the cruise button my speed is set; it’s a two step process in the Lyriq.
What are you having to do to turn yours on? For me all I have to do is get to the speed I want while driving and hit the toggle switch on the steering wheel and it's engaged.

Interesting. I have to push the cruise button and the set lever.

You are right. It’d be nice, especially for long trips. I considered getting a spare with the Mach-e.

but I am sure is better than the Blackberry's QNX crap Ford is giving us
If you’re the inquisitive type, you might want to read a few reviews. It’s not pretty.

Yeah, we only put it in the back when going on road trips.

Is it bad? I wish I was the inquisitive type, otherwise I would't have gotten this car.

I’ve only seen a single review that liked the GM setup. That reviewer admitted the learning curve was steep and that apps are missing but felt the fact it didn’t require use of their phone trumped all other considerations. Everything else varied from meh to bad.

I already have a car that the only dealer on the island refuses to support and which @Ford Motor Company has washed their hands of,
Have you explored the local tv stations investigative/consumer reporter, BBB , PissedConsumer.com ?
If all else fails I like calling my Congressman. It seems that getting calls from sitting Senators makes people uncomfortable . Hit social media .

There is an attorney involved now. I have the resources to make them wish they’d just done their fing job.

The NHTSA is involved, last I heard they were in the process of issuing a fine. I’ve been told there were allocation cuts made by Ford which the new owner of the dealership was livid about but no changes as of yet. They’re very apologetic when they talk to me but nothing happens. As of this month though they’ve been told they can’t talk to me and a demand letter is about to be sent. They’re going to be in receipt of the demand letter in a few days followed by service of process shortly thereafter.

My car is great. The dealership sucks. Amazingly, they’re not the worst on the island. One of the jeep dealers is far worse.

As an Android Aficionado, this growsing about CarPlay just makes me laugh. The big deal is app support, no matter what platform it is, in my opinion. If my next car had an Apple derived infotainment system, I'd be fine with it as long as it has my apps.

This was Yet Another Reason we would not consider Tesla - their proprietary ecosystem does not contain our apps.

How many kids are you able to store in there? How big are they? Aren't you concerned that they'll bounce around when you turn and/or hit bumps?
I find that one 8 yo fits fine. Too much if I put his twin in there. Also, it’s the back that’s bouncy. So, he should be fine there. Hopefully, next time, I’ll use an apostrophe instead of a comma.
