I promise it has nothing to do with the seal. It's about the latch; as acknowledged by my dealer's service head.
But what did he know about Ford Options? ?

It actually works; there's a little technique to it but you have to initially close it hard enough to click the first latch and then push down firmly to compress the rubber and hold there briefly for the second latch to catch. I tried it a half dozen times or so and got the hang of it after a couple of tries.

I've ended up doing it that way, not on purpose, but because the "drop from a foot" is sometimes inadequate and I end up having to give it a subsequent shove to get that last bit to latch.

I now prefer the "one hand shove from one foot" method. Giving it just enough extra shove with the hand dead center. Not a huge slam, but firm. Seems better with one hand dead center though than two hands off center.

Try adjusting the springs/stoppers on the left and right side. I tightened/lowered both of mine a bit and the frunk closes with just a drop from the described height. YMMV.

It didn't work for me, I tightened stoppers to the max, it didn't make any difference. I didn't try to slam the frunk, but it doesn't close on its own, I have to press on the hood.

My question is how do you get the LED headlights to flash like that?!?
it's a video artifact, like how you can see the infrared on the wheel.

Maybe on the next iteration, they can offer a power front trunk close, like the power lift gate close. This won’t be a concern then.
