Thanks, guess I can live without it.

Other thing I would like to know is if there's a way to disable the option for the cruise control to not increase my speed with road signs.

I set 37 near cameras (going down hill) and it saw the 40 sign and changed my speed to 40. I ended up in 42 just before the camera and had to slow down.
Good news on that one - you can either adjust the tolerance above or below the signed value it recognises - or you can just disable the feature completely.

It’s located in Settings —> Driver assistance

Has anyone heard anything about Blue Cruise coming to the UK yet...? I'm sure in April (ish) it was in the news that they said we'd be getting it and there I was hoping I could try it out on the christmas drive to Devon from Norfolk ?

Disclaimer: This is just a question out of curiosity...! I'm not here bashing the timelines or complaining.... Just curious.

I've got it. Currently on 90 day free trial.

Haven't done a long journey to test it properly but out of my 12 mile work journey, I get to use it for 3 miles on dual carriage way. No issues so far with the limited experience I've had.

Stats in for 69,852 miles

Total kWh bought 23,776
kWh bought at DCFC 5,853

Av m/kWh 2.94
Av cost 9p/mile

Still super car to own & drive even though fully loaded when out working c85% of mileage.

No major faults that dealer hasn’t put right, rear wheel bearings, otherwise just a fantastic car ?

Additionally, HV battery SoH is 95.5% which is half a percentage higher than when I started monitoring that around 10,000 miles ago, not entirely convinced there ever was a 100%, I’ve seen it as high as 96%.

Just picked car up from Gates of Harlow, have to say, brilliant service from them. The HV is fixed, the loose light fitting fixed, software updated, fully charged and valeted like new...
I like the tech guys at Sandicliffe Nottm, too.

How’s your mileage, DV?

61K, been off the road quite a bit, but I've got a couple of months of long trips so should be hitting 70K in Jan/Feb. Saw your post re electric cost, hopefully they'll bring the cost of fast charging down, it was 35p KWH back in May 2021, around 70p now (some Shell ones are 85+p). Winter, when you get 2miles per KWH, is expensive at around 35p a mile or more. As you say, it's the average that matters and you get to drive the Mach E.

Having spent 2 weeks in an Audi A5, initially I was loving the Audi but after 2 weeks longed for Mach E back, no one looked at me driving the Audi...I've got used to people looking even after 2 and a half years, it felt odd!!! My Company is changing to Salary Sacrifice so a new Mach E is back on the cards, this at 90K, so I reckon another year...

Oh, wow! Since selling the business 10 yrs ago I forgot all about employee matters such as employees’ salary sacrifice etc.

As a one man business it’s now more about the corporate costs/benefits, and EV ownership’s proved to be very beneficial, and a little about company car tax.

Wifey finds out what car I chose when car is first backed into garage ? I find it’s best that way or it becomes a committee decision.

Shell just announced a connection charge!

After the initial knee jerk rage, realised the pence per connection charge probably amounts to no more than 60p per year for me so I soon calmed down.

Heard good things about Octopus Energy rates recently which I need to look at again because last time they just didn’t work for me at all.

With air source heat pump and EV charger, electricity is starting to cost up to £100 per week again now winter’s on its way; it was £200pw last winter when rates were at their highest!

Was still cheaper than ICE car & oil fired central heating-no gas out here in the sticks.

Be good to see public charge rates come down but I won’t hold my breath because the Govt are inept and regulators tooothless & pointless IMO.

Generally life’s good, though, especially with a Mach-e to rattle around in.

Please don't say "to rattle around in" which is what I've got at the moment due to internal trim coming apart. Should be fixed later this month when the parts come in.

Oooh, please accept my most humblest apologies?

Touched a nerve, did I ?

Twas merely a figure of speech ?

Didn’t realise there might be anybody literally rattling around in a ‘Stang.

All my tools that I carry rattle, keep me company chattering all day ?

No worries. Just annoying that the most I've ever paid for a new car has more rattles than a Citroen C5 (2009) I used to have which was silent all the time I had it (5 years). You would expect a French car to fall to bits. Still love the Mach-E though despite all this. My mileage (18,000) pales into insignificance compared to yours. :)
