Worst ever experience in the early days of EV life at Camb Svcs.

Rained so hard on me - still can never fathom why no canopies over high voltage electrical apparatus, I mean just what could possibly go wrong??‍

After the plug-in, stood in a puddle of water that had run off me waiting in MaccyDees for my tea.

When I got back to car was so wet I threw MaccyDees on front seat, coat on rubber mat and peeled trousers off as I got in driver’s seat.

And me with a clear DBS!

Glad it was dark.

I got 5.1.1 yesterday so things seem to be progressing, though it's just background updates so they probably just corrected typos in the manual.

I'm up to 6.3 now yipee! MY21 Job 1 ER AW. Love to say I can see a huge difference but it's all background stuff getting ready for BC I think

Did you see that Shell had announced a connection charge but then did a Tory (U-turn?)

It's almost as though they don't want EVs to succeed so they can sell off their charging infrastructure and carry on selling fossil fuels. They can then cite the age old adage, "There's no demand!"

Good luck with getting a HVJB anytime soon! Ours has been in the garage since the 1st of Dec.
All the parts are in Germany. First order they sent the wrong parts.
Second order had been held up as they've discovered sanctioned Russian items in the shipment!

Hire car is the loudest, clunkiest, petrol I've ever driven.

Shambolic stuff.

Stangy’ll be ready for its 3rd service at 80,000 miles in a month so I’ll see if I’m lucky and they can get part for then.

If not it won’t be a problem for me.

If Stangy’s in for any length of time for the HVBJ I’ll just rent a van, don’t like loading all my tools in somebody else's new vehicle!

Wow, any idea what your battery life is now you’re nearing 80k miles? How long you planning to keep Stangy with the battery warranty running out at 100k miles?

Funny you should ask!

Just charged to 100% overnight and pre-conditioned car & battery to take a load of readings ?

No major trauma going on with the readings.

Probably keeping til it drops.

Battery don’t cause me any anxiety, I’m a Level 4 EV Technician and understand that if anything happens with the “battery” it’ll probably only need an array, of which there are 12 I think, changing not entire battery.
