Speaking to a Ford Mach-E specialist at a dealer I trust today, they have seen no evidence from Ford that they intend to update 2021 models in the UK with BlueCruise. Just wish Ford UK would be transparent about their intentions. It’s not a lot to ask and would put me out of my misery.

I thought mine had Blue Cruise.

Isn’t it the blue rings which appear around the car graphic on dash screen which, when lit up and car’s in dynamic cruise control mode drives the car, steers it, speeds up & brakes automatically before, without a subscription, you are nagged to put your hands on the steering wheel??‍♂

That's cruise control i think, blue cruise is the guided journey where you can take your hands off but not sleep!

That what I got, it steers the car around bends, corners and then also does the standard dynamic cruise control stuff maintaining speed and distance behind traffic in front.

Unless the steering torque sensor detects at least some steering input by me it nags about taking control because I haven’t paid the subscription!

I also had a message once keep eyes on road when I had covered my eyes from old snake eyes sensor panel above the steering wheel because it couldn’t see my eyes, big Stangy’s watching you ?

Bluecruise also does hands-free lane change (tap the indicator & it'll change lanes for you) and apparently in the 1.5 version (shipping on 2025 cars?) will also do overtakes for you in order to maintain speed, in contrast to normal adaptive cruise/lane keeping which just sits in-lane and slows down to maintain distance.

I had a go with Bluecruise during a test-drive on the M23 up to Gatwick (from the Ford in Crawley) - it only works on the motorways, but was pretty cool anyway. No more hands-on-the-wheel nags, but it does moan about eyes on the road (so it's not like you can sit & watch youtube all the way from Gatwick to Heathrow).

The "blue rings around the car" for the cruise indication get filled in/shaded when Bluecruise activates and switches from lane keeping to hands-off.

I'll probably subscribe, as it covers 90% of my commute miles (M23/M25), but folks who don't use motorways every day should definitely give it a miss (it doesn't work on A roads - not even motorway standard ones like the Brighton area A27).

My tech did say once we can set mine up for Bluecruise use, so I’m tempted just for the experience.

Am 63, be dead soon and kids’ll only spend it on tasteless shite like Tesla’s and toys that Apple sells?

It’s not currently possible to subscribe to hands off BlueCruise for 2021/22 models as the updates haven’t been pushed to UK 2021/2022 cars. The fear now is that Ford UK have no intention of doing so, even though 2021 owners in the US are just starting to receive BlueCruise 1.3. The auto lane change features will not be coming to UK vehicles, even 2023+ models which have BlueCruise.

I’ve reached out to Ford’s UK Customer Support team asking for a final and transparent comment on whether UK 2021/2022 models will get the BlueCruise OTA. They’re reaching out internally and will respond when they have an answer. Let’s see if Ford UK will do the right thing and give us an answer once and for all. I’ll post when I hear back.

Umm along with the collision system not working and external temp I’ve now had these faults pop up yesterday although they haven’t reduced performance (clicking in each one states performance has been reduced) It’s booked in this Thursday so hopefully the dealer can shed some light on them

they are similar messages for HVBJB problems but getting the codes read will confirm that, assuming you have the orange battery and red spanner symbol on the dash since the error came on, happened to mine each time I had this issue and HVBJB was replaced, error code was POADA, now on my third replacement after the last one went within a month of repair, the dealer did manage to turn the repair around in 2 days.
