By all means do see if you can get any US members to validate the dimensions - but be aware their cars are slightly different to ours as the suspension has been tuned differently for US and European cars.

I got my tape measure out when I saw the car in Feb 2020 to answer a gazillion questions I had from forum members, and I cross checked the Ford spec sheet which I've popped below...

Argh thanks did not know about the US suspension. So to understand what you have posted above you measured the front clearance comparing to the specs and it was 145mm is that correct?

Thanks for this. I have seen videos on YouTube etc it's the actual front skirt clearance that's important for my drive. I think for me I need the front skirt clearance measured and with no cars in the UK yet that I know of I may try and ask on the US forum to see if they will get their tape measure out for me. It would also be useful for the width with mirrors as well. I have seen estimates of 83“ but not one actually physically measured. If I cannot get it on my drive for security and charging I will have to cancel but I definitely do not want to do that but its a big risk and I would like to keep myself intact if it turns up and the Mrs sees it does not fit ?

I tried them earlier in the week and was promised a phone call today and all I got was we cannot answer this please speak to your dealer. As I have seen on here UK customer service seems very hit and miss and more on the miss so far for me but know lots you guys been battling this for months.

The bit I measured was the gap shown in the picture below, however the base of the front skirt is at the same height as the rest of the car, so in my mind logically it should be the same.

Just trying to help out - but understand if you need to try and get validation before committing to buying this car. Realistically you might have to wait another 8 weeks for a definitive answer when the first cars start to arrive in the country.

@Wonky_Donkey that's helpful. Thanks I think you are right I may have to wait the 8 weeks or maybe more to be sure. I am waiting for a call back from the dealer as well so if he confirms my deposit is refundable until I can see that it will fit on my drive I am prepared to wait like you all for this car.

First post on here on great informative blog! I was able to find my vin from the information given and I can see I got lucky with order placed 7th Jan and my production date was 18th Dec for my Black SR RWD. Dealership been a nightmare as most seem to have experienced until yesterday when they confirmed my vin and ETA date of 15th May. Which is month later than my original date on ordering.
One question ground clearance I have an awkward drive which my current car Merc C Class just clears at 157mm and I am concerned about the specs 147mm clearance for the Mach E. Has anybody seen one in real life or a video measuring the actual front clearance? (I have seen the US YouTube review). If not I may ask one of our US friends to get their tape measure out. Seriously want this car like you all but if I am scraping the front it will be a deal beaker.

In regards to vehicle height and getting in and out, because the cabin sits on top of the battery pack the interior is actually at a really nice height. So you don't feel like you're clambering in and out of it looking like a drunk octopus with arms and legs everywhere. It's a very easy in/out experience.

My issue is the getting in and out, and ride position.
All the videos I've been watching I have been been paying attention to the ride position. Think it will be ok for us. As you say who wants to be looking like a dumb idiot with arms and legs all over the place.

I've been more concerned about general pot hole clearance! We have a lot of country roads here and a lot of holes appear after the usual winter big freeze. It is a big concern that 6 inches might not be enough!

It's 5.7 inches no exaggerating now ?But yes potholes and those sleeping policeman will def need to be taken care of when approaching.
