This was mentioned earlier in the thread a few days ago. Take a look at the pretentious promo video. And apparently some have a solar panel on the roof?

Battery is smaller than the mache but when I priced up a preorder it was similar to the rwd er price.

Not for me though but might be my backup choice.

The car doesn't excite me.

Ioniq 5 is my back up. 800v battery and 225Kw charging makes up for the smaller battery. It will be more efficient than the Mach e and charge much faster. Range slightly less granted. Inside space similar but more boot space. Deliveries next year in the UK I guess.

I also really like the vehicle to load function. 3Kw would be enough to run your boiler, pumps and say your IT and a few lights in the event of a power cut.

If those were model y then I would be really considering swapping.
Hmmmm... I do like the model Y especially; Tesla Tech, charge speed and supercharger network

but I really hate...

Build Quality, only one display, Tesla evangelists and Elon

I am completely ambivalent to the look, design ethos, brand

I've just re-quoted insurance and it's gone up for me to £780 from around £500 and now the previous cheap insurers have gone eg morethan

Add to that my own personal issue that I now have to add to the policy a no blame accident (I got a witness from another car thankfully) after someone drove into me today I was the driver but on another policy so the this extra bit truely sucks. That appears to have added another £150 on top of the £780 by my estimates fiddling around with the quote system.

Keep an eye on your insurance as it might be different in April/may mine changed a lot when I just checked it before adding in todays incident.

I just got a 3 year fixed price quote to include business use (not just to and from) for me and my wife. This is from Saga (I am an old crumbly) but my wife isn't. 10 to 11K miles per year and including legal and enhanced personal injury. They have quoted me £612.00 per year which I don't think is half bad. Certainly less than I was expecting and not much more than I currently pay for my Mazda CX5 AWD.

That sounds good.

My quote was for 20k a year and after what I've experienced today i'm glad for that legal policy we have on the existing policy!

There's still a chance it may get on the Immacolata, otherwise it would have a confirmed ship date for the Grande Halifax I'm guessing. We will know once the ship leaves.

I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that mine will be on the G Halifax, arriving at Antwerp late April for early May delivery to me. But it would be a nice surprise if it got on the Immacolata!

good luck everyone.

(and the obvious questions are, if they haven't been put on this ship and last weeks then what has? and what's going on with these cars that have been built months ago)

The uk concierge believed cars from the plant would be on it.

I don't think it is just the MME that is leaving from Veracruz. There are other car makers in Mexico who I assume use Veracruz and Altamira which I assume why both ships spend so much time in port. Maybe they didn't go on the Grande Houston because they were doing further checks on them. If they aren't put on MSC IMMACOLATA and we don't get given a good reason for it then I might pull the plug and get one the M3's that landed in Southampton the other day ;)

sorry for being a bit dense but how will we know they have loaded all or any MME on the ship? Are we still tracking individual vehicles or are we relying on status updates?

We MAY be able to track using VIN on Grimaldi website RORO tracking page. Alternatively hopefully the dealer screens would update the status to reflect they are on the boat.

The concierge Rebecca had in the past mentioned to some that dealers will be notified a they can "pass on the good news" to customers whose cars are on the ship.
