Thanks @Wonky_Donkey
Just tried it and all seems as expected except this line:
{"code":"BSHBS","description":"DU PWR FOLD HTD SIGNAL MIRR'S"}
As mine is a SR RWD I did not think it came with powerfolding mirrors, may be I'll get a surprise!
I test drove a SR RWD and mirrors weren't powered sadly. Crazy for the price of the car

I am beginning to think mine is a ghost car and is a figment of my imagination. For some reason I cannot get the information that most of you are getting by following the instructions given by @Wonky_Donkey after entering my order page on my ford account. I have tried on EDGE and CHROME and neither seems to bring up the same details. So once again I am at the mercy of my dealer to keep me informed of any changes (a week later). However, I did learn yesterday that the dealer I have bought my previous cars from has access to the details of an MME that is in almost exactly the same position as mine is so I think I will be pestering him in the hope that I will get more up to date info. We will see.

I think it's an IT issue where Ford added the feature into that web page but it isn't working for all customers records. And it isn't working because no-one at Ford is using it therefore if it's something that isn't used, it never gets reported/fixed internally.

Can you validate the VIN somehow? Maybe they gave you the wrong VIN and the check digit just happened to match. Clutching at straws I know. Most lightly you car is fine, it does exist and Ford's IT is at fault. Unless of course they picked your for the crash tests?... joking only joking... ?

My vin is correct. We are all very well aware of the state of their IT so I am banking on that being wrong.

They might fit the part even if it's disabled. I know it sounds crazy but that might be cheaper than having two parts, one powered and one not. It might even be interesting to check the wiring diagrams and hack a way to enable them were that the case.

Probably find somebody has to type the VIN's in manually to some part of the system... I kid you not. I did some work for a certain unnamed government department who couldn't understand why their database was inaccurate. I counted 19(!!!) manual data entry points including one where one users read out a number of the phone to another who keyed it in. I wrote a report which basically said this will never work and sent them a bill.

IT here always has more incoming work that available time/staff. You only fix the stuff that matters and forget the bugs in seldom used areas.

Ford has had pretty much the same system for many years. As you say, they only fix the stuff that matters. However, in this new era of online line sales, tech savvy customers and forums like this their systems have and will continue to come under detailed scrutiny. If nothing else, the complete process Ford have undertaken with the launch, ordering, communication and level of customer involvement of the MME has laid bare serious shortcomings and total inadequacies in Ford's systems. They say that early adopters should expect some issues with their cars because of the nature of the beast. However, what people probably didn't take into account at the time was that these early adopter issues can also manifest themselves in ALL aspects of the new way forward. My only hope, but I am not holding my breath, is that Ford learn from this debacle and update their systems and customer communication skills.

This may be of interest assuming you haven't seen it. Will this affect Blue Cruise being rolled out in the UK?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-56906145
Ford says that it will be rolled out only for mapped divided highways. They have mapped roads in the US but I haven't seen anything to say that they have done similar in UK or whether it will be different here. Not sure I would want to pay extra for it either if there is an additional cost which there probably will be.

Graham if it is of any help I'm not getting all the F12 info back either. I use chrome. I did get some VMAC status info in the past like Compound status but it was always very out of date and now I don't get anything and I don't get the same level of info that others are getting on the spec of their car from the "detail" section. I have the correct VIN, I just think it's because the whole Ford IT set up is sketchy.
