It will be my first EV as well. I’m feeling more confident in the car itself especially after my test drive.

It’s just all the logistics around it that are causing me cause for concern and Ford aren’t helping with their order ‘process’.

Have to wait until order is confirmed by dealer to get confirmation that is needed to apply for grant from the EST in Scotland and then get the charger installed.

They don’t like making it easy do they??

I have the same problem with EST went backwards and forwards with Ford and my dealer, nobody can give me a receipt for my 1000 GBP paid!!!! I gave up after EST rejected Vista screenshots etc.

I hope yours arrives soon. The ships that I believe will be used are the Wilhelmine, Celestine and Adeline running daily schedules from Vlissingen to Dagenham. I can't remember who the shipping agent is, I don't think it's Grimaldi, but I can't remember where I found it, and it was only Tuesday when I looked. Haven't seen a direct ANTWERP to DAGENHAM route so the most logical is from Vlissingen. But as always, I am just guessing.

I can't see how it would be economically smart to put thousands of cars on trains to Zeebrugge or Vlissingen in your case, instead of just getting a ship to stop by Antwerp directly.

So fingers crossed that they do as they did with our cars and hire a vessel to stop by Antwerp instead (Viking Amber normally goes Zeebrugge->Bremerhaven->Drammen).

Sorry peps, but I am sat at work bored again. Can't seem to get any information from my Ford account, my dealer or concierge team so I am going to pose a non shipping, non delivery, non QC check question. Who, on this forum, will the MME be their first venture into the EV world. I'll start. ME

This will be my first full EV but I’ve just spent 4 years in a Golf GTE (PHEV). Great car but ready to move to full EV. I ordered my MME at the launch in Marble Arch last Feb so getting extremely bored of waiting!!

I contacted my dealer today.

No change to my ETA date of 22/05.

The car is still in Antwerp.

He is not aware of any cars leaving Antwerp yet. (I assume that refers only to UK cars)

ETA move from 29/5 to 12/6
He said that the ETA move up end down all the time, most accurate ETA is showing after the car arrive in the country. He repeat a few times that the cars arrived in Liverpool.
I don’t believe of all he said but just share the info he give me.

The ship is the viking amber and she is doing the route Antwerp (dep 22/4), Zeebrugge (arr 23/4), Bremenhaven ( arr 24/4) and Drammen (arr 28/4) so one can assume she is delivering some German and Norwegian cars. Like I said a few posts ago, because FordEUR are controlling the checks at Antwerp they are making sure their cars get out first.

Not mine, build 6. feb left Veracruz 22. feb - on Grande Huston, stil stuck in Antwerp ...

Of course you be huge unknown is what at economic batch size will Ford move the MME to the UK.

My car was updated on the 13th April. I think the ship arrived late on the 12th from memory. The mileage went from 18 to 19 so I’m assuming it went through the QC checks. It’s stood still for two weeks.

it could be waiting weeks for the rest of the herd.

This'll be my 2nd.
Had a 24kw leaf in 2016, traded it in late 2017 for a Saab convertible(midlife crisis after having moved 250 miles to Cornwall followed by 5 weeks in Hospital seriously ill...) Loved the Leaf- used it for commuting but just great fun. Jan 2019 I traded that for a Toyota C-HR hybrid. Superb car but I was waiting for the right EV for me to appear.

Think and hope it has! Anyway I've a lonely underused wall charger by the drive that is dying to charge another EV ?

For info, the PTI change page can remain open in a chrome tab to make it easier to check regularly for date changes.

May I ask how you do that?
