Evening All! I'm just deciding whether to take the leap and pre order though looks like I've missed the boat as the site now says order...

Anyone found a good insurance deal? Quotes I've found at the moment are crazy.

Still hoping I can convince my company to buy it on my behalf otherwise its such a big investment.

Anyone else worried the big infotainment screen is going to be not that user friendly?

Go back a few pages mate and you'll see my gocompare and comparethemarket info. Some people get good quotes but others not! Mine doubled from a kuga petrol.

If anyone (or a bot!) Goes through the confirm stages I would be very grateful of details of what finance deals they offer please.

I’ll be documenting the process with screen grabs so everybody can see. I’ll make sure the financial bit is well covered

Oh I do hope that’s not the case - that would be daft to take a large chunk of the website offline for such a long period. And would the dealerships be interested in doing this? I get the impression they are a little “out of the process”
I think they’re definitely being cut out of the loop somewhat... they’re probably not thrilled that it’s going online, as it kind of sets a precedent going forward that is lifted from the Tesla play book imo. It could also explain the mixed bag of communication we are experiencing. But they should remind themselves that they will always be the “hospital of birth” to coin a Portland analogy. They’re always going to be out first port of call for pretty much everything we need/want... they will make money off us in time, aside from servicing, repairs and hardware upgrades etc, they wil be very well placed to take up after market support if they wish... which should flourish in time.

Apparently infotainment screen is really good, watched every YouTube video and ppl seem impressed especially the dial as it makes it far easier to navigate then the Tesla. Tried to check car insurance comparison websites but had no luck finding the Mach E on the drop down list. Any ideas?

Comparethemarket and gocompare will give you some quotes. Admiral was cheapest for me but as has been mentioned in earlier posts on here personal circumstances can make vast differences. People on here have been saying anything from £480 to £1700 (ouch)

You’ll probably still take delivery before me ??

re: the HMI, I wouldn’t worry... everything we’ve seen so far leads me to believe it’s going to be super intuitive and easy to use.

My quote was £2200 though I need it for business so maybe thats why and do 22k miles a year.... my focus atm is £400 by comparison and been quoted £850 on a Volvo XC40. Wouldn't mind a bit more but come on. Tesla Model 3 long range was similar though Churchill offered £850 with the rest £2k+. Just crazy.

My quote was £1280. About the same as I was paying for my BMW X6

RE: Insurance Groups

Insurance costs have been a hot topic on this thread since they were announced for the Mach-E a few weeks back.

I thought it might be helpful to put the Mach-E's insurance groups into context with other vehicles both BEV and Petrol.

I just checked some other well known and recently released vehicles, and some traditional vehicles that shared similar groupings just for comparison.

Hope this helps :)
