Morning all!

Do you guys ever actually sleep?! ?

My pre-order is showing the same date deadline of 08/01/2021.

Don’t want to be a ‘negative Nancy’ but expecting me to confirm the order of a near £50k car before a test drive or even seeing the car in the flesh is tough! At least if I cancel at the moment the £1000 is refundable

I was hoping to get a window before the deadline when test drives would be available but I doubt these are going to happen in the next 4 weeks.?

I guess this is the conundrum of the early adopter!
Don't sleep much at the moment. Too excited ?

I can sympathize with your conundrum. I am one of the lucky ones who have actually managed to see the car in the flesh and actually sit in it. This is why I am a bit happier with the way that things are at the moment. My one concern is the driving experience. But having said that, as I said in much earlier posts, I have been driving Ford cars for almost 40 years and have yet to have a bad driving one. Early adoption is always a risk but I think it will be worth it in the end.

Nearly there

I was up at 4am as I had a project meeting with some colleagues in New Zealand - but I do keep some funny hours these days since working from home.

It will be interesting to see the Terms and Conditions on the order page when it pops up, but I’m still under the impression that you can cancel and get your deposit back almost to the point of delivery. They’ve had to do this as everyone is ordering a car unseen and un-driven, not to mention distance selling laws etc.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about at the moment

I understand, reviews next week will give more insight. There is a full month available to you before you take the plunge.

What concerns me is the lack of insurance company choices available too. Plus the inaccuracies of the uk ranges advertised.

And the very pricey interest rates on the finance.

I will be holding off until those reviews at least.

I think that timeline means a short production run as others have suggested will happen mid jan. So after that it might be another upto 6 months before an order turns into a delivery as you would litterally miss the boat!

Thanks guys. Who needs the concierge team when you have the Mach e Forum?! :D

Hopefully the reviews due next week will give me some added peace of mind....or more importantly give my wife added peace of mind!?

My last 2 cars have been Fords so I’m more likely to give them the benefit of the doubt more than other manufacturers. It’s important to me to have an element of trust when adopting something new and I have that with Ford.

Fingers crossed that the details begin to clarify now that things seem to be starting to move.

Roll on my first ev?

Damn, I should also warn my wife soon..... or later... ;)
I have been talking about this with my wife nonstop for 9 months. Spent numerous hours on this forum and watching YouTube vids. She is fed up with it all. Don't know who wants this car the most. Me because i love it or the wife because then I wont be spending so much time researching it. We can both be out enjoying it. Woke her up ay 0630 to say that there was movement on my ford account and the website. She almost threw her tea at me. How ungrateful. I made it especially

So disappointed. Got a call from Ford in London saying my Mach e is scheduled to be built on the 15th of Feb having been told it was to built in Dec for delivery spring of 2021. So I guess won't see it until the summer at the earliest. So frustrating as driving around in a £700 runaround car having sold my X6 in anticipation. Anyone else have the same call?

I ordered 11th Jan this year and my build is in the 8th Feb, delivery 16th May! So yes, I’ve had the same problem. Have you ordered an AWD ER by any chance?

Thanks for the info. Only ordered in Sept. I wish I could afford the AWD ER. Gone for the RWD standard range. I logged in to the Ford website and says I need to confirm order by 8/01. Didn't realize I needed to confirm.

Interesting. I am pretty bummed out about having to wait until May, tbh... but I was told it was because the factory is a batch build factory, so they’ll need 30 of a particular vehicle configuration to do a run. Since I ordered quite early on, but get a Feb build date, I’ve deduced that the demand for the AWD ER is quite low in the Uk since it’s above the PICG threshold. In that instance, my order has slid down the queue until there were 30... most likely from later orders. In your case, I’d imagine that since you only ordered quite recently, you’re unfortunately at the back of the queue. If your build is Feb, like mine, you’ll probably take delivery in May too.

Makes sense, thanks for clarifying. When Ford called today they did say that their would be an event held in the next few weeks at the showroom to view the car, would be nice to see it in person.

Technically you only have a pre-order at present, and the website will today (hopefully) ask people to convert the pre-order into a full order. The confirm by Jan 8th is a new part of that confirmation process that only appeared on the site this morning.

Ok wasn't aware. First time I have logged in since placing the order in September. Cheers
