Well my dealer has been in touch to say I should get my car next Wednesday. ?

Apparently the update takes 3 days!
It appears that even those takes longer in Scotland!?. Car has been at ‘dealer delivery’ since 8 June so really disappointed.

Going in on Saturday to finalise the finance so will hopefully get a look at it then. ?

I asked if the rubber mats that I ordered were there and she didn’t know. She said if they weren’t then she would get them ordered. Makes me wonder what they’ve been doing since they’ve had my car…

This is the same dealer who repeatedly refused to provide me with any order confirmation to apply for the EST grant for the charger in Scotland. To be fair I’m going to ‘1000%’ get it today!?

Just want to get my car and leave my dealer in the rear view mirror.
Ford only allow the dealer 1.2 man hours to do the update. So they are going to be massively out of pocket if it taking them 3 days.

Having said that, they might have discovered other updates that needed to be done, that perhaps should have been done in Antwerp.. I know my dealer said he was anticipating the ecall update to take about an hour.

I got one in the post but there was also one in the glove box when I picked the car up. I'm going to wait and see if I get another year with the new one when the current one expires.
Same… one in the post and one in the car. Was thinking the same thing re: expiration… might get the missus to set up a Ford account and register the second one in her name when the time comes

So getting ready to take the car on a road trip. We’re off to Cornwall, via Isle of Wight next week… should be fun.

Do I recall correctly that we have someone on this thread from Cornwall? Would be great to hear what the charging situation is like first hand… seems to be a few destination chargers at supermarkets dotted about the place, but overall not too many in general. Will probably be relying on the Granny charger overnight.

Think we’ll be taking the A30, but Cullompton is close to where the M5 and A30 meet, so I might cut across to Cullompton using the A373 and give it a try… thanks!!

Has anyone got a picture of their keys? Can you open the frunk from the key? Or do you have to get on and pull the lever?

oh also if you’re doing the a303 onto the a30? There is a 100kw instavolt charger on the a303 right at a restaurant (Route 303 - not sure how good that actually is haha) we drive past that often on the way down to Devon/Cornwall

I live in Bodmin- When we moved here in 2017 I had a Leaf, always charged at home, never anywhere else! There's not a lot of chargers here (tbh I'll never need them so I don't take a lot of notice...) But There's a couple in an obscure carpark in the centre of Newquay, another in Camelford and a couple at Newquay Airport. All rapid chargers but I think 50kw. Sure there's more, zap-map will show you. As it happens I have a L2 charger on my drive so if you get stuck give me a call, pm me and I'll give you my number!

Hi
For those who had their car arrive into Antwerp on the Grande New Jersey on 10th June. I had a status of Compound Out on the 14Th June and nothing since. Then this morning a notification that my Ford Pass had activated. On investigation I can see that my car is 75% charged as of today. Last updates showing as 17th June and complete. The location is still at the docks in Antwerp as per the update when the Ford Pass activated. Just hoping that the car is now on a transporter to Flushing;) Will check back later

Seen that several times when we drive up to Sussex/Surrey to see friends and go clay shooting. The 303 and 30 have a lot of chargers as it happens!

That is the strangest thing about this car. Why didn't they make it like a Boxster or Carrera where you can pop the frunk with the key?

Oh forget about the last post. I think as the car can have a flat 12v battery maybe they need the frunk access to be mechanical so you can get to the battery.
