Hi All, Just wondering.... I picked up my Mach E yesterday, and was wondering if anyone managed to set up The Phone as Key feature, spoke on chat to some one on the FordPass app and was told this feature was not available in the UK, is the correct?

Similar story for me - am finally going in to the dealer tomorrow to do a visual inspection and sign docs, then pick up next week. @SashaLondon hopefully the same for you if you can get hold of Matthew on Monday. They'll probably use my car to work out how to do the update!
Great, I will then have to arrange for my present car to be picked up by the lease company. I hope they don't have a 2 week waiting time to pick it up (I think I saw that somewhere but I could book it quicker than that on their website).

Correct, no PAAK in the UK because of our different insurance requirements. Hope you're enjoying the car!

Today, I filled up with petrol (before anyone thinks I lost the plot, I don't have my MME yet!!!), a tank normally lasts me around 5 weeks. Last time and the time before, I thought to myself "I wonder if that was the last time I'll ever fill up with petrol!" - obviously it wasn't! Today I thought, "SURELY this MUST be the last time I fill up with petrol!" - come on Ford, get your finger out, you've got 5 weeks max!!!
In other news I had both tappsdate and vehicledate changes today (2 hours between) in Antwerp. I hope it hasn't gone on the FORENSO though because that's heading back to Germany (dodgy battery repairs)!!! Maybe they're loading up TOSSA, or another boat. I hope. Exec office says I'll be in Flushing by the end of the week.... ???
Yesterday's tappsdate and vehicledate changes were early afternoon, I had more today mid-morning, I wonder if I'm now in Flushing? I haven't had the email yet though... At least it should mean I'm not on the FORENSO for battery repairs of doom which is still on it's way to Germany. But TOSSA hasn't moved, maybe they're using a different boat, or maybe I'm just getting overexcited about these tapps changes and I ain't gone anywhere!!!

Hello all, new user here. We took delivery of our SR-AWD on Tuesday. The car itself is great but I'm having issues trying to schedule charging to off-peak hours - can't seem to get it to work.

I'm still reading through various posts, so give me a while to catch up :)
Good luck with the preferred charge times… I’m pulling my hair out with it. Starts charging when it’s supposed to, but doesn’t seem to stop charging when it should! Hopefully you’ll have better luck.

Good luck with the preferred charge times… I’m pulling my hair out with it.
I’ve rebooted the EVSE and will see what happens tonight - unfortunately we’re on 99% charge so I won’t be able to see if it stops when it should.

Hi all,

Like a number of us, I too picked up my car today (RR RWD ER) although, unlike @Andeh , I only had to go 15 miles to get to my dealership ... albeit took an hour and a half on the bus ?

But I managed to put 60 miles on it getting back home - really enjoyable ??

Just a few minor points to share on some well known subjects, as others have already:
  • buzzing instrument cluster - yes, there is something there in my case but only notices when parked/stopped and even then is not that loud ..... I am always aware of sound changes and I don't think it's going to be a problem ..... at this stage ?
  • wind noise from pano roof - again difficult to tell as there is always some and seemed to be coming more from the driver's side mirror ... I'll check again but am not thinking this is a problem either!
  • bouncy ride - slightly noticeable on some roads although I didn't notice this when I had my test drive a couple of months ago ... more of a slight oscillation if that makes sense, but the ride is really good overall and doesn't wallow around turns and corners
  • FordPass app and profiles - as for most everyone, pretty poor, and gave up with the profiles, although mysteriously it did transfer some "saved places" but nothing else. It always flags up there are 2 messages when there are none - even after re-installing!
  • FordPass Charging Network - took a number of attempts to get it set-up but got there in the end
My Ford ConnectedWallbox ....... does not connect! I think the bluetooth/wifi failed a few days after installation the other week (have tried many times with a number of devices and worked with Ford on trouble-shooting) - so British Gas engineer due on Monday to investigate (and is kindly bringing a replacement unit, just in case ?)

Overall, absolutely delighted - and feel very lucky - to have finally picked up the car, and it really is excellent ???

I hope the others here who are still waiting, especially where cars have been with dealers for a few weeks, such as @BlackheathDiggs @SashaLondon @Mercury8 get their respective cars asap ?

Cheers David, very happy for you! No regrets switching from the Outlander then? Hope you get the wallbox fixed quickly!!

I’ll be seeing mine in the flesh tomorrow, so will be sharing pictures!

Couple of quick notes about ride quality for those that have picked up their cars recently…

1) When the cars left the factory they over inflated the tyres for shipping. Check your car’s pressures - it will most probably improve the ride quality. Don’t assume the dealership set the correct pressures at delivery.

2) After about 600 miles you will notice that the suspension improves as it takes a few miles to settle in. I’ve hit 1000 miles now and the ride quality has improved quite a bit (not that I thought it was bad before - it’s just even better now)

Anyone know if there’s a way of turning off the irritating message when your phone stops charging on the wireless pad ?

Yes, it should arrive in the post… if not, your dealer may give it to you when you collect. It gives you some discounted rates at certain charge points like BP Pulse and Ionity… also a few free miles to begin with.
I got one in the post but there was also one in the glove box when I picked the car up. I'm going to wait and see if I get another year with the new one when the current one expires.

That would be awesome. I actually got two in the post as I'd had two orders and cancelled one. And then one in the glovebox. So if that works then that would sort me out for my 3 year lease!
