In that case, by not putting them back on sale, they knew that the FE's would be built last as it would have been impossible for them to fill the batch.
My dealer is as bad. Hopeless. They couldn't even confirm my order. I had to send them the contract that they e-signed!!!!
It has been said all along in the FAQ's that if you wanted to change dealer you would have cancel that order and then start anew order with the new dealer. However there are some on here that have been quote the same delivery dates as brand new orders so it might not be as much of an issue

What I can't get my head around is that surely a First Edition is just an AWD ER with a different paint job and different scuff plates. Not sure that would be so difficult to have included it with the AWD ER batch, but who am I? Just a Trade Financier with 33 years of managing staff, designing systems and running a successful business.
