I shared a lift with a colleague who also has a Mach E and he had a screen replacement last week. He had a crack and contacted a national windscreen replacement company in Norwich (can't recall who) and they said they had one in stock and did it in an hour that day.......
That would, I imagine, be an insurance job and not as a recall under warranty. I just hope that it was not from an old batch which had the issues with the inscreen heating elements. Hope he's checked them.

Bear in mind that the MME was Ford's FIRST fully dedicated ground up EV. Hyundai have had a bit more experience with EV's and shared with Kia I would hope that the Ioniq 5 will not have as many issues that we are having. Still, not keen on the look of it so I am sticking with my MME
yeah I feel the same about Ioniq 5. I don't know why they have such bland colors in addition. and, no dealer is able to tell me whether it is a SUV or not.

so i haven't been following posts about this...

what really changes after the pano and windshield replacement and the customer satisfaction software upgrade?

nothing wrt the first two is my guess.

what about the last? does anything change in the MME? we get more available battery, and if so by how much? faster charging?

You shouldn’t notice anything in regards to the roof and windscreen, but the software updates should be more apparent.

- Faster DC Rapid charging after 80%
- More reliable door locking/unlocking
- More accurate range estimates in cold weather (less pessimistic)

…and that’s about it when it comes to noticeable stuff.

After 1000 miles of driving in 11 days a few thoughts:

Love the intelligent adaptive Cruise control. However, will using this on motorways increase battery draining?

Have noticed that some days I can get more out of the battery than others, even when my driving is the same. Example, drove 82 miles and the car used nearly 100 miles of battery.

Charging the car when out and about so far has been no drama. 1 argument with a Range Rover who had decided to park in the only EV space. Quite frustrating.

The ride itself, although a tad bouncy is overall really comfortable.

Lots of tech which takes time to get used to.

We share the car however it seems the wife likes it as I’ve noticed she has found a way to drive it more than me ??

No longer see the point in door handles ha.

Ford pass app is very poor!

Overall so far 9/10. Absolute pleasure to drive and own!

Glad you are enjoying! I’ve had mine for 7 days now and totally love it, I’ve just charged next to a Tesla mOdell 3, couldn’t believe how low the Tesla was, I’ve only done about 150 miles, it looks amazing ? agree ride is a bit fidgety, quick she is, love the daft engine noise, seems well put together. Had minor issue with front lights remaining on when locked, but just changed the auto setting back, sorted it, it’s a fight to get a home charger as Mrs c new Zoe steals my space! Third world problems. Looking forward to longer and further travels in the MME! And still not many about! Spied 2 polestars today, EV6, Ioniq 5, Enyaq, but not any other MMEs! ??

Hi, had my Mach-E just under 2 weeks now. Attempted a 200 mile journey but had issues charging. Was using Chargeplace Scotlands rapid chargers (or attempting to) tried 6 chargers at 3 different locations, only managed to charge at 1 which is not great, sll the chargers were confirmed as working by a few helpful people with different EV’s, but the Mach-E kept saying there was an error. I’ve spoken to a Ford Dealership and they said the the firmware used by Chargeplace Scotlands charger needs updated. Had anyone anymore experience with this?
Also my Satnav went off-roading but is now showing the correct position ?‍♂

I am also a fan of the propulsion sound! Haha. Agreed, I’ve only seen a handful of MMEs and far too many boring Teslas! The Polestar appears to becoming more popular. To be honest I was torn between the polestar and the MME. but I don’t have choice regret so that’s a good thing! Having the home wall box makes such a big difference, especially when taking infrastructure anxiety in to account!

Haven’t yet started putting together how much electric it is costing me, but the new box will do that for me when I input my tariff. Either way, still cheaper than Petrol/Diesel!

Hello to everyone from this new member on macheforum.

I've been enjoying reading all your posts for some weeks but thought it was time to go public and join in with the discussion.

I think I have been a lucky customer when it comes to ordering my Mach E: I noticed back in January that the Ford inventory was showing the exact car I wanted on 12 weeks delivery:
Model Year 2022, Mach E AWD SR in Cyber Orange
That was about 24 January 2022. I went to see my Ford dealer, Evans Halshaw in Bedford, on 26 January and they knew of no reason that I could not secure that car. So I placed an order later that day and got a Ford email the same day saying they had built the car and it was on its way...

My Ford account told me the VIN and www.whereismymme.com told me that the vehicle had been built on 13 Jan 2022 and was in Veracruz, Mexico.

It showed up at the dealers on 8 March, a few days ago. Here is a photo of it sent by my sales executive. That's like 6 weeks from order to delivery to the dealer. I can only say I feel for those of you waiting months and months for your cars.

I collect the vehicle a week on Monday 21 March...

Sorry to hear of your charging misery Dave. I have the chargeplace ??????? card and have had for a good few years now. I’ve not had any problems with any charger. Even with my MachE, I’ve charged granted not on the rapids with no issues. Have you tried on a non rapid to see if that works? Might be worth trying the app as well, my wife uses that but Im old school with the card. Good luck and i hope you start to have trouble free charging issues and enjoy the car! ??

I have travelled Manchester to Fort Augustus twice since having the MME as we as 3 journeys Manchester to Croydon. I do have problems with some DC chargers in Scotland using the chargeplace Scotland rfid and England (Mainly Gridserve). I agree it maybe firmware related
