Today I have dropped my MME off at the local Trust Ford so they can sort the brake pads/disks -the rear discs are badly scratched and the pads stick at times. I have asked them to update the s/w also as it is stuck on 1.6. The car was built 1/7/21 so I think it is a job2 car and I have not had any communications re pano roof nor windscreen. The lady on the front desk suggested that they would not update the s/w as it was not subject to a recall and therefore they would not be paid by Ford to do this work. Anyone else in a similar position?
Well I collected the car this afternoon and apart from giving it a wash they had not rectified the rear brakes nor updated the software so I am still stuck on 1.6 as some predicted. I was very surprised that they did not sort the brakes - they did refer to Ford who replied "rear brakes look normal. As long as they are working properly, there is no reason to change them." I recieved the car on 1st Dec 21 and the following picture was taken on 1st Jan 22 with less than 1k miles on the clock

Yeah rang dealer pentagon ford to book in for the recall and this and they didn't call me back, I chased up and they said they would get the bodyshop manager to call me who didn't call me back. Rang again and they said they weren't doing the recall, it is one for autoglass.

Emailed ford who didn't email back, emailed ford again last week and still no reply.

Unbelievable yeah?

i can feel myself gradually fall out of love with the MME ...
I know exactly how you feel after my poor experience with Ford and not having my MME for 4 weeks. But... when you eventually get your car back, and hop into that drivers seat, the fixed grin will come back onto your face!!!
Although even now my experience has left a nasty taste in my mouth and part of me can't wait to get away from Ford - I dread something else going wrong!

Have you considered going in person. It is a lot harder to ignore you when you are stood in front of them. Also if they have other customers in the showroom they aren't going to want them to hear about their piss poor customer relations. Just a thought.

realistically I will keep the car till the end of the lease and then decide.it is not as if we have a lot of choice out there. Which other SUV has 250 miles of range ? Only the Model Y and I am not interested in a Tesla.

Ioniq 5 … maybe but I am not sure if it has the high ride feeling and that car is too new in any case. If we MME owners are struggling, those folks will be in a worse situation because every newly launched EV is bound to have problems.

I think that Ford's weakest point is their poor customer service. Maybe other EVs will have similar issues but it is the way you deal with them and work with your customers that makes the difference.

Just popped in to see my dealer and he is in the process of doing the recall work on his demo. I was hoping that he would be able to get mine in next week, but apparently having been on order for 5 weeks the screen STILL hasn't been delivered so it looks as if I will have to wait a bit longer. ?
I shared a lift with a colleague who also has a Mach E and he had a screen replacement last week. He had a crack and contacted a national windscreen replacement company in Norwich (can't recall who) and they said they had one in stock and did it in an hour that day.......

Looks like we all are feeling disillusioned :)

Bear in mind that the MME was Ford's FIRST fully dedicated ground up EV. Hyundai have had a bit more experience with EV's and shared with Kia I would hope that the Ioniq 5 will not have as many issues that we are having. Still, not keen on the look of it so I am sticking with my MME
