Ahh. Yes, I take your point.I think the disconnect here is that the original intention was that the dealers would not normally need to do bug fix updates as they would all be done OTA.
A direct comparison would be buying a laptop from PC World and then taking it back every few months asking them to install the latest Windows Updates.
The customer service program to update Job1 cars was to get around the complaints over the GOM being so low in cold weather and to improve the charge speeds, and Ford was compensating dealers for their time to do this.
Now some of us more informed customers are demanding additional updates like 1.7.1 and the dealers are getting pissed as it takes a minimum of 3hrs to do that update alone - and thatās 3hrs of time they canāt claim for.
