Hi
What percentage battery do you have left ?
Do you have the ford App on your phone ?
If so make sure in the charging section you have it set to " Charge when plugged in "

Same on the screen in the car Charge when plugged in and not on a schedule or departure time.
Not to sure what else to suggest.
Unfortunately I am not near my own car at the moment to go and look at all the settings on my big screen.

Sorry I cannot be more helpful. Hopefully someone will come along with other suggestions.

Hope you get it sorted, Let us know when its sorted what the problem was.

Good Luck
The charge isn’t the problem as still has 74 miles in. Will not start or move out of park. Needs recovering apparently, ford assistance is useless.
The AA guy can’t do anything go with electric cars apparently and I’m 1.5 hours away from home having brought my friends too. Husband’s helpful response on the phone was ā€œwouldn’t have happened if it was a BMW/Audiā€
Called the dealership I bought it from who were clueless too!

So I’m away for the week with friends popped out to local InstaVolt charge to top up prior to drive home tomorrow. Won’t charge and now won’t start (has 74 miles left) getting a message saying stop and accessory available. Nothing has been left in or plugged in. I’ve called AA but wondered if you guys have any ideas?
Was the error "STOP SAFELY NOW" by any chance?

Just found this on another thread. Looks like your 12volt battery could be the issue.
Am sure in the manual you can jump start them from under the front bonnet after removing some trim …

@Kezza Bee74 There are a couple of things you could try:

Fully lock the car, and keep the keys away from the car for at least 10 minutes. This lets all the modules go to sleep. Then try starting it.

If that fails, then there are a couple of things you'll need to know.

Whilst in accessory mode, under settings is the option for "Emergency Tow Mode". You may need this to get the car onto the AA flatbed if he has no dollies.

Be very careful where the AA tow the car from. The tow points are in front of the front wheels...not behind. I've read horror stories of tow companies towing from a hole that rips the battery skin apart requiring a whole new battery encasement.

Last but not least, your 12V battery could be too low, so ask the AA for a jump, to see if that fixes it.

Forgot to mention, to get to the 12V jump points you need to remove *both* the topmost, and right side plastic covers in the frunk. There is a high possibility of losing some clips when you do this down inside the back of the frunk....never to be seen again.

Think I might invest in a small Jump starter kit, after reading some of the 12 volt battery issues.

In the boot under the tyre inflator you will find a screw in tow hook. This screws into the tow point in the front bumper. For some reason our US friends don’t have this so they never mention it. God bless EU regulations!

…but as others said - make sure you engage tow mode first.

I did not know this!!! I obviously spend too much time on the US part of the forum. Good shout @Wonky_Donkey and hope Big Jaffa is treating you well.

Definitely not the 12V battery he checked that.
Thanks for the info re the tow points I will let them know when they arrive.
quite concerning that ford assistance network is not set up to deal with issues with the mach e. Service manager at dealership said he’s yet to see an AA call out that didn’t result in recovery!

Fingers crossed it’s not the HVBJB issue that is rife in the US. You will be without your car for a considerable while as they have to drop out the battery pack.

I’m sure emergency tow mode will allow the car to at least be turned around. It effectively disengages the motors to let the car free wheel. Although I have no experience of pushing 2.5 tonnes of steel on wheels
