Thanks for all your feedback on the 50% paid PCP contract termination option.

Ironically I got my monthly credit score update from Experian this morning and I'm still clinging onto a credit score of 999 out of 999. I really don't want to jeopardise that especially as I'm about to spuff £50k on a Mach-E and move house ?

I think it's time for some conversations with Toyota Financial Services today.

Dont apply for a credit card, loan etc! To keep that score

I think I read yesterday that it can take 7000 cars so I think that might be enough space?

It's 7600 maximum that extra 600 could be important to some on here ??

Just looked out of curiosity and there is still availability for a rapid red rwd sr in 10 to 14 weeks in case anyone is interested.
I wonder why so many rapid reds but not other colours though?

Looking at wonky's Google sheet rapid red and black are the most commonly ordered colours.

My guess is Ford looked at the Pre Orders and decided to make XXX of each colour. So when I changed from blue to grey all grey were allocated, so the lead time was pushed out. Having worked in manufacturing, I considered this exact issue so asked them before the change but that's water under the bridge.

Can cancellations are for a whole host of reasons but common colours will be more probable.

Pre-ordering and putting a grand down then to see some in the US walk into a dealer and drive one away hurts a little.

Ford clearly haven't got the online sales process working as yet. They could have called or suggested I place a new order... I'd have been fine with that. I should have taken more care when ordering from my side but I've always been able to confirm the colour before build date. With JIT that's normal... Ford are batch building at first as any unallocated will be sold or go to dealers as demos.... Lessons learnt and all that....

Just spoke to Toyota Financial Services - they were totally cool with it - confirmed 50% paid termination doesn't affect credit rating. ?

Now arranging for Prius to go back to garage in early April bless it.

Does anyone else feel guilty when they get rid of a car? It's not like they have feelings, but they almost become part of the family.

Grimaldi have just updated their shipping schedule for the Grande Houston. ETA/ETD Veracruz now 20/2. Arrival in Antwerp now scheduled for 15/3

The function was disabled for Ford Europe VIN numbers and is now only available for USA orders (which was the market for which it was intended)

I did however manage to snag a copy of mine as a souvenir before they switched it off
