Poor Hannah though!

She certainly has taken over the reigns at the wrong time, but credit due she emailed me this morning and told me that mine is on a ship( MSC Immacolata). Estimated to arrive mid May. I'm assuming that's when the dealer gets hold of it, unless the ship is going on a jolly.
Then heard about the bombshell. Will give it a while and hope Ford comes up with something to keep us happy.
Will not be hanging on too long though, as I ve got to have have charger installed, and that will not happen if a Mach-E will not be hanging on the end of it. Was the only model that lured me to go electric. If not back to some petrol/diesel polluting car that the goverment are promoting.

Got the same reply that my car is on the Immacolata (HMS Immaculate Conception!) and due mid May.
Will wait and see what Ford come up with. I’m more than happy to part with my earphones in exchange for the 3 grand...?

I feel for you guys. My choice was always the First Edition as I just fell in love the Grabber Blue so I wasn't receiving the grant anyway.

There are still huge benefits to have these cars as company cars. For the employees out there who currently do not have a company car, speak to your employers, do the numbers to see if you can take a "salary sacrifice" for the net repayments and have the car as a company car. No BIK and then your repayments will fall by between 20-45% depending on your earnings. This way, your gross salary will reduce by the repayments, your net will only decrease by the gross less the tax you would have paid.

Just a suggestion for you guys still wanting it but struggling to justify or come up with the extra funding.

"Disaster" was the first post I read and it sums it up.

Managed to get back on my ford account, having not been able to for most of the day. In the quote the £3000 grant is now not showing, but the monthly payment is still the same.
Maybe Ford are going to pay it.
I know it's very doubtful, but got hold on to something.

The build your own now works and the OTR price is £49980.

The dealer OTR in my account for my order is still £47k.

I don't think the dust has settled on this one yet...

It will be interesting to see how Ford respond. We've already had one official comment from Ford UK today, but how this will translate into any mitigating action towards Mach-E customers is a tough one to call.

They could take the stance of "we're outraged at Government policy" make some noise, and then do nothing... or they could try and turn this around in a customer friendly PR pricing move.

Personally based on my experience with them over the last 16 months I'm very much afraid it will be the former (please prove me wrong Ford UK!)

...and one final comment from my other half this evening. He said "they could paint it with poop and you'd still buy it." and to be fair he's probably right ?

So is mine but it still shows the £3000 deduction as a government grant so not sure what the update was. Hopefully it will become clear very soon ?
