Was told the other day that this was on its way. Rebecca now says I can post it for all to see.

At this time I can advise you we have made no decision or announcement on our response to the disappointing Government decision to cut the Plug-in grant. We are currently talking to relevant authorities with regards to existing qualifying orders that were placed prior to 17th February and had not yet been registered for the grant. We appreciate your continued patience and will update you as we know more – please bear with us for a little longer while as we work to resolve the issue.

Thanks for the update.

It’s a shame that Ford are unwilling, at this point anyway, to take the hit for their customers while they get this straightened out.
Hopefully we get some clarification sooner rather than later as it has knock-on consequences. For example, getting a home charger fitted takes several weeks and I won’t start the process until everything’s confirmed. No point in this fiasco being sorted out the week I’m due to get the car!?

We will just have to wait and see what comes of these discussions that they are doing?

Response received today from Hannah.

Key points:
  • no car scanning was happening on the ships
  • "software updates" at Antwerp referenced only
  • still working out the issue the with grant (verbatim response as per Graham's)

My second order (upgraded to extended range) was placed on 18th February ?. So unsure what all this means I am getting confused with this 28 day business. Oh well suppose its just a wait (and wait) and see ?

This is interesting as I was told (verbally) by my dealer that Ford would absorb the £3000 ...andntjat was concerning my 2nd order which I placed on 18th Feb...

I think you will find that your dealer is wrong. At least that is the info I am getting. At the moment ;)

I questioned the dealer as I couldn't believe they'd just made a decision like that without shouting it from the rooftops. So frustrating.

If Ford aren't absorbing it then who is?

Given the statement that Rebecca sent me that I posted on here, before I jump the gun and pull the plug I'm prepared to wait a little longer to see what transpires. After all, my car is quite a way off from being delivered. You never know what might happen. Good things come to those that wait so they say.

Great
Another delay for me. My delivery date moved fron 8 to 28 May according to my dealer! Also said that my car still in Veracruz. From all this fantastic news every week and all great Ford customer service I’m ready to leave. Really don’t want and try to find something good to leave me onboard.

Definitely no one should be cancelling right now as all you are doing is letting them off the hook and potentially losing a great deal.
