@Guybrush posted some really good info last week regarding the location and the ability to find out where your car is using the remote setup page and F12. Hidden inside the line of text is one really useful bit of info:

That tells me my car is in Dagenham. Dealer was unable to confirm but also said it would take 2 - 4 weeks to get to him from Dagenham.

I was confident it was working for me as the distance seemed to be spot on both when it was in Antwerp and in Drammen. However the location might be for your internet serviceprovider. Mine said Bergen, wich is a few miles away, while the car was both in Antwerp and Drammen.

When I check mine, I get my home address, I have checked, my mustang is not right outside my house. I believe it is the location set as home in your remote setup. Might be some default location if you have yet to set this up, likely a dealer.

Just been reading a forum on this on the MoneySavingsExpert site. My deler quoted £199 for the two stage application, £299 to include the aftercare pack. Everyone on the forum said there is a huge markup and you can but the stuff yourself for relative pennies. Most reckoned it was okay but not worth getting the dealer to apply it. I'm now thinking of looking elsewhere for something else. What I don't know yet.

I also had compound in 12/5 @ 15:33. I thought this was it arriving in Dagenham. However, today's vista print said it was New Flush so I would get your dealer to give you a vista location update before you start celebrating.

Yup. my Vista update today shows NEW FLUSH on 12/5 with ETA to dealer now w/e 12/June, so that's a week earlier than the last notification.

So this is dead weird - I've been monitoring this positioning data, and other peoples posts about it and it's so conflicting.

Mine is showing as being 5.7 miles from where I live on the distance, and gives three GPS locations which are all pretty much on my doorstep. The site does ask each time you login to be allowed to use your location info - so for mine it's just using the location of my MacBook I think.

Thats interesting. The line with the "-distance" seems to be correct if i use miles and not km. I cant get the Lat/long to be correct, nor the place(I belive that to be the hub from my ISP). I did not allow my position data, so maybe that makes the distance thing work?

I have cleared the cookies a couple of times too, to see if anything changes.

Car is still in Drammen with VITR, in transit and compund out.

It did show an address in Antwerp last week. I've not set anything up as yet, so as it's changed to Barking, I am hopeful................

Yeah. I’m not sure what it means. I’ve got my home address setup but it shows up as Manchester on mine.
I’m based in Scotland so have no idea what Manchester has to do with it. ?
