I started to email the CEO, Lisa Brankin, about 2 months ago. I also emailed the CEO of Ford Int, William Ford, Henry’s great grandson.

Sorry to say but neither of them could give a flying f**k.

They are ignorant, useless and arrogant.

Lisa Brankin got the Executive Office to respond to me. They are all as useful as a chocolate tea pot!

Sorry to dampen your optimism but, as far as complaints go, nobody in Ford gives a s**t.

My next stop is the automotive press. See if they can do anything.
I have zero enthusiasm for this, the whole thing is an utter joke but I'm sort of stuck with a decision taken end of Jan this year based on estimated Delivery 1-June. Through this journey at one point I was told yo expect my car mid May........
If I could stomach paying an (other) extra £100 a month vs my CRV now (Mach E is £120 a month more / ipace £220 more) I woyid already be out.
I'm stuck going electric now else I'll need to repay £350 OLEV and £250 EST Grants for the unused charger on the side of my house.

My dealer has had the car for weeks and weeks. Still not sorted for pick up.
I can’t believe you’re still waiting!? Can you reach out to the general manager at the dealership and breathe fire?

I know how you feel James.

I would stick with it. The car is definitely worth the wait it is fantastic.

The downside is Ford (not my dealer, they were excellent). They are utter garbage!

Hi @Holy Driver

My status changed to "Normal" after the car was PDI'd by the dealer - I think they should take it out of "transport" mode which limits a lot of the car (speed etc., I think - I'm sure someone will correct me if not ?)

Can you please clarify what you mean by "no packages" - and no alarm?

Have you actually picked the car up from your dealer and were able to drive it home?

It sounds as though they might not have completed the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) checks correctly ?

Hope his might help ?
David
Yer I didn't think you could get the cars without packages?

If you have the RWD extended range then that is how it comes?
Hi,
short correction, I have a RWD SR.
I ordered the basic car without extras.
I looked at ford.co.uk and saw that you can't add extras like tech paket 1 like in germany (where you get some extras like parking assistent and so on).
But the alarm system should be basic equipment, but there is nothing in settings.
My fordpass App says the pre delivery inspection was carried out but the status is still "transport".
Driving with the car seems normal.
I will contact my dealer again.

Thanks!

So have now clocked up 100 miles. Driving with a smile, and all seems good. Only concern are the flimsy mach e logos on the doors. As some have already experienced, it will not take much to be pulled off or snap.
Two questions
My understanding is when you lock the car, the alarm enables. Is there any indication that the alarm is on.
Also and I hope never have to be used. My present breakdown provider is due for renewal. Would Ford assist provide what is needed in worst case scenario. Get passengers and car home if can't be fixed etc.
Nothing was really mentioned about that during handover.

https://www.ford.co.uk/owner/owner-services/assistance

This shows you what is included.

So the above link says we get Ford assistance for 1 year with a new car. Is that right? With my other cars and bikes I've always had 3 years included (usually length of warranty)

With regards to the alarm it comes on each time you lock the car, the only indication is it asks you if you want to disable the internal sensors (e.g. if you're leaving a dog in the car) each time you turn the car off. You can disable this reminder in the menu but it says something about it will ask you again twice a year.

I've referred some UK car press to this forum to get a sense of frustration & anger from UK customers.

I've not started on other issues such as PAAK & keygate (set against Tesla), screen buzz, crummy badges falling off, overheating screens, & other promised car specs that have not been delivered on UK cars.

I appreciate, criticising the car may not be agreeable to many on here, but as I said previously the treatment I personally have received from ford has brought me to this point. So I offer no apologies & I accept I'll be a hypocrit when I finally get my car but I'm handcuffed to the car now due to plug in grant. Retweets appreciated.

I'm not on twitter so can't share, but if any car press are reading and want to hear my story/trauma, feel free to message me.

I hadn't noticed regarding disabling the internal sensors. Most probably because I'm still in excitable mode.
Thanks for the link. Most probably not renew with present provider.
also wonder how many of these other breakdown services are up to speed regarding EV's

Barry, Ford also have a facebook page which you can share you experiences on and you are too nice suggesting people would find your criticism unagreeable.

My screen buzzes and i've found a fair amount of features missing including walk away lock. And a general amount of arrogance coming out of Ford and seen other people treated poorly or just ignored.

After several rants on twitter, Ford UK are now Direct Mesaging me. I've supplied my order number and explained my utter dissatisfaction on the Customer Exoerience front, play off between "Ford" and 'Dealer". I am promised a response on Monday... we will see.
Next step for me is CEO office at Ford UK if there are no answers next week. I just had to spend £4.5k on a run around car to bridge between our current lease and the 2 month late mustang..... this is real money and stress.
How long is it since you ordered James?

End of Jan with 12-14 week lead time, car was built early December been in Antwerp since mid April. Was advised by Concierge delivery in May, now maybe end July... slips every week.
If its 1 day into August I've told dealer don't call me until 1-Sept with a 71 plate reg.

EDIT: Sorry car been in Antwerp since end March, was on Grande Houston

Could well be one which needs a battery replaced. Worth asking and pushing for an (honest) answer. Mine is in that situation.
