There's many people on this forum who have been here much longer than me. But I'll try to answer your queries and no doubt more guys will be along to help further or correct me!

As I understand it you have to order these on-line, you can't just walk into a Ford showroom as the chances are they won't know f'all about the car. Only a few dealers are accredited to sell these. For example I live in Cornwall and across Devon and Cornwall I believe only one dealer is handling the Mach E, in Plymouth.

Delivery date? Allow 6 months unless you can bag a cancellation

The grant is only available on the base standard range model. Don't bank on this as I'm sure it won't last forever.

Home chargers, you can't get a grant until you have an agreed order. Speak to you utilities provider- some like octopus do their own charger and will provide more help than your dealer will.

If you can charge at home and do average distances then the savings will make you think xmas has arrived early!

Tony.T is right - only a few dealers are accredited (or capable) to sell them, so worth checking out your local dealerships so when you order online you connect the order to the right dealer! Tony.T is almost correct when he says 1 dealer in Devon and Cornwall - it’s Vospers so they have 2 branches - one in Plymouth and one in Exeter (where mine is due in 6 more weeks…)

Octopus GO electric tarrif is ideal for overnight charging and for the best rates you do it over 4 hours and that roughly will be 7kw * 4 = 28kw in a session.

I’ve mentioned this to the concierge because it’s frankly ridiculous in this day and age. Will hopefully be sorted in an eventual update.

I’ve got a wee question: when insuring a car that’s been purchased via Ford Options is it Ford Credit that goes down as the registered owner?

NO. With Ford options it's basically a hire purchase NOT a lease. You technically own the car and are responsible for it. The log book is in your name and it is down to you to keep it legal. Therefore the insurance should be in your name too

The planets aligned for me last night, the boat that sailed a week ago didn't have mine on it. But another docked at 9pm local time last night. Early this morning I got an e-mail from a tracking app to say the status of my car had changed from 'compound in' to 'compound out' I think it'll be loaded today as the ship sails up the coast tomorrow

My dealer will be phoning me on Monday for my weekly update so I'll know for sure then ?

I will keep an eye on mine. I had checked all day yesterday. No change. Almost as if when you give up. You see on here someone has had an update. I checked and mine had updated.

How come there is a day difference in Tapps Date and Vehicle date? Surely they should activate together?
