Is it possible to print a silicon moulded skin with a pony on it for our shitty key fobs?

Or could a 'kuga' style case be scanned and copied but with a Pony on it? That's what I was thinking.

I was after the basic model in black, ordered Saturday and promised a call back Monday with a estimated delivery date, but now Thursday and no call.
All the advertisements and it doesn’t seem to me that they are prepared, especially on the information side, I asked about the home charger, he didn’t know, I asked about the grant, he didn’t know, asked about possible sayings compared to a diesel, he didn’t know!!!

Something happened on mine today, I have gone from COMPOUND OUT to TRANSPORT whatever that means?

Though my F12 function hasn't updated since 26th but by all accounts, it can take a few days to update.

So here I am thinking my car is now on the Adeline. This ship left Flushing at 19:35. So If I get another Tapps update shortly after it docks, it could be promising.

Now, try this if you wish. When I was in the navy, the inside of a ship shuts out any signal from the outside world. You cannot get a phone signal at all.

So my theory is, if you try activate your car, THEORETICALLY, your Tapps Date Time should not update!

I am about to try this so will let you know......


....... I activated my car and it came back bloody instantaneously - Activation Failed. However, the Tapps Date Time did not update like it does normally - Promising?

...... to be sure, I just did it again and it updated One hour difference.


Oh well, might be worth some of you guys trying?

There's many people on this forum who have been here much longer than me. But I'll try to answer your queries and no doubt more guys will be along to help further or correct me!

As I understand it you have to order these on-line, you can't just walk into a Ford showroom as the chances are they won't know f'all about the car. Only a few dealers are accredited to sell these. For example I live in Cornwall and across Devon and Cornwall I believe only one dealer is handling the Mach E, in Plymouth.

Delivery date? Allow 6 months unless you can bag a cancellation

The grant is only available on the base standard range model. Don't bank on this as I'm sure it won't last forever.

Home chargers, you can't get a grant until you have an agreed order. Speak to you utilities provider- some like octopus do their own charger and will provide more help than your dealer will.

If you can charge at home and do average distances then the savings will make you think xmas has arrived early!

Personally, that doesn’t bother me as I always heavily research big purchases and this is easily the 2nd biggest I’ve ever made.

My order said 20-23 weeks when I placed it this week so it should make a nice early Xmas present.

Think of it this way- you've got plenty of time to research and speak to owners about their experiences of the car. (quiet tonight because some of the lucky sods are doing road trips... ? ? )

You can always change your mind and get your deposit back- but I doubt you will!

But don't depend on the 20-23 weeks. It'll arrive when it does and not before...

It’s usually good news when tappsDateTime and vehicleDateTime are 1 hour apart…they’re usually 2 hours apart when in Antwerp/Flushing, then 1 hour when it arrives in the UK. TappsDate is GMT and vehicleDate is the local time zone (GMT+1 when in the UK)

Oh yeah I’ve got no delusions about that timescale and I doubt I’m going to change my mind now. I’m new to this forum but I’ve been following the MME since it was announced, so plenty of research done already ?

There's no grant available on the mache as it now excludes EV cars above £35k

I have a podpoint home charger. I wouldn't buy the Ford one.

Octopus GO electric tarrif is ideal for overnight charging and for the best rates you do it over 4 hours and that roughly will be 7kw * 4 = 28kw in a session. Thus for me with the ER it gives me roughly 1/3 charge per nighly 4 hour session. At that low rate it's 5p per kwh!

5 * 7 = 35p per hour * 4 = £1.40 !

Charge your car for a few quid! Roughly a fiver!

There is no comparison to diesel!
