So what is the best strategy for low energy, low hassle demisting the front windscreen?
Using the demist in-screen element and no heating I had an efficiency of 3kw/mile at 11 Celcius compared to 3.5kw/mile that I am averaging. I don't think that is too bad but the constant dance with the demister button is annoying.
I can't be arsed with all the flaffing about, I set the E-Heater on, temperature 21c screen/footwell and crack on! I enjoy driving the car (that's why I bought it) so if it's less mileage then so be it, I'd rather just enjoy it and not worry about range or efficiency (within reason of course!). I find that most of my journeys are less than 150 a day so it's no hassle. Longer journeys, I just make sure I stop and charge when I hit 50% until I know I have enough miles (plus 40 as a safety margin) to get home. I didn't give heating a second thought before in an ICE so I'm just going to crack on with that mentality.

With Eheat turned off, the other source of heat is supposed to come from the battery cooling system.
I read on one of the USA posts that this works really well in the summer, when you don't need it. I can't see how this works (I can't feel it at all when I tried). I think Ford should just fess up and tell everyone what the crack is with the heating. I agree with you, the 'advice' from their 'Engineers' was rubbish...how can turning it off work?!?!?1

I downloaded FordPass Pro from the App Store for a look. I quite like it.

What’s the differences?
They both display pretty much the same info - but the Pro version is more fleet orientated. Will say the Pro version does look much nicer though.

Pro version doesn't have the MyJourneys or the Route planner (which Grahame will jump in immediately to say it doesn't work anyway LOL) - it will come down to personal preference I guess.

[EDIT: Just as an extra - Pro version also doesn't give you any charging ETA's when the car is on charge]

Hi
Can you please advise me on charging from granny Ford charger
I plug in only for it to stay paused
When I enter screen settings / charge it tells me to set a location
I can’t see a way of doing this
Also does this mean I have to set a new location when I go somewhere different?
It works fine with my Zappi charger
Many thanks

Hi all, just picked up my Mach-E AWD Ext this morning. Sadly traded in my Focus ST but with current trade in values it was a no-brainer on a year old car. Was really worried I'd miss the dynamics of the ST but this thing is quick and a joy to drive. Really want to put some Michelin Sport 4's on it though, anyone gone with custom tires or rims? ?

I lucked out and found a cancelled order in Glasgow and they delivered it down south, all sorted in 3 weeks! Looking forward to digging into all the settings at the weekend, unfortunately to busy with work to give it much time right now ?

This is probably mentioned within the 800 pages but how do you see what OTA version you are currently on? I can't see it anywhere in settings in the car or Fordpass?

You are correct. Still can't get it to work, at least on this road trip.

So the last installed OTA can be found in: System Settings --> System Updates. (see photo)

If it just says "You're up to date" it will get round to downloading the next available OTA as soon as it's available for your car.

NOTE 1: If you've only just picked up your car you may find that all the software modules will have been updated by the dealership, therefore no OTA's will show as you are up-to-date.

NOTE 2: When OTA's are released they are done in batches - so just because one person on the forum has it, it won't always mean it has been made available for your car yet.

Hope this helps :)

Road trip number 2 in Black Beauty. 2 charging stops. First at Gloucester Services on M5. Unfortunately these are still ecotricity units. Slow, temperamental and difficult to access as I didn't have any 4G by the unit. Had to make a note of the number, go about 60 feet away to get signal, log in and then run back to unit to follow on screen instructions. 30 minutes later had added 3.5 KW. ? ?. Next stop was Stafford Services. Gridserve this time and the ease and speed was up to Gridserves usual standard. Scanned card, off we go , 50 minutes later had added 42%. Happy with that given that ZapMap says it is only a 50KW unit. Got to hotel, plugged into BP Pulse charger for a slow overnight charge.
Drive was brilliant. Arrived relaxed. Wife was that comfortable she fell asleep, which is unheard off normally.
Although part of the FordPass charging network this charger didn't show up on the app map. Good old FordPass. Why are we using this piece of ?. Can't use trip planner, doesn't show networked chargers. I think I may have mentioned before my dissatisfaction with the FordPass app.
