I'm afraid I cant verify, as my OTA 2.3.0 failed just like @Wonky_Donkey :(
Just been looking into my OTA failures and general history...

Seems that whenever the APIM module is involved in the OTA process it fails, but if the OTA is for other modules it works just fine (eg TCU or GWM)

1.4 updated TCU
1.6 updated GWM
1.7.1 updated APIM
2.1 updated GWM
2.3 updated APIM & TCU

Hmmm.... dodgy APIM module or just dodgy update process?

*Module names:
APIM - SYNC (SYNC4A Interface Software)
GWM - Gateway Module A (Networking Hub that talks to all the other modules)
TCU - Telematics Control Unit (Communication services to the outside world via mobile network)

My 1.7.1 was done by my dealer. My 2.1 and 2.3 were both done OTA. All notified as successful so my guess would be that you might have a dodgy APIM module. Presumably that is something that your dealer would have to check although as you have access to FDRS you might be able to do it. Best of luck.

Still stuck at v 1.6
Look at the response I received from Ford UK Mach E support:
"Good afternoon Walter. Thank you for the email.
This is nothing to worry about, you will just need to wait for the next OTA to come out. At the moment there is no date for this. I hope this answers your question"
I am FURIOUS

I updated the new PCM and OBCC yesterday in FDRS and there was an APIM update I did too but it was tiny.

Was the APIM bundled in with one of the others? I don't have a stand alone APIM available at the moment.

I'm sat here considering doing the updates now, but I can't be arsed to pull off the frunk body panels to get to the battery jump points ?

It only showed up whilst connected to the car not offline

Just take it to the dealer like we discussed. Get them to put 1.7.1 on manually and then you'll be sorted.

It isn’t OTA 2.3.0 so don’t get too excited
Realised I have a MS Teams meeting at 2pm - so it'll have to wait until after that anyway.

Wonder what they've snuck into this dinky update then. The 2.3 OTA APIM update was in excess of 2Gb so it was relatively meaty.

Yes, it is going in next week for the windscreen. I hope they sort out the software also. I put that in the comments.

This was more like 2Mb ?

Think I will probably end up doing this too. Next time it goes in for charging issues I'll ask for this to be done. The tech at the dealer found a fault (DTC POCF7:66) on the car from irregular/erratic pilot control, cleared that and did a physical check on the pins on the car to check they're OK. Then asked me to go home, delete all the charge settings on the car and remove/re-install Ford Pass* from my phone, and repeat the charge as per my usual settings. Done all of this but the same failure occurred "Scheduled charge did not begin". All the scheduling is being done on my wall-box (SyncEV) and all the settings were deleted off the car for charging.

So have called them to report back and he's going to grab the live data off the car (didn't know that was possible remotely) and discuss with Ford Engineering to see what is next to do. If it goes back I'll see if I can get APIM updated too as this is probably stopping the OTA updates coming through.

* Is everyone else getting the same walkthrough of the new position of things every time they open the app?
