@portlandg - I’m bringing mine down to you for any work in future ?Success. Just collected my car. You would never know that it has had any work done apart from it being valeted. And what a fabulous job he has done. Even managed to polish out some of the scratches. Looks as if I have just collected a brand new car fresh out of the showroom. I know I'm biased, dealer is a 'friend' and I am a customer of nearly 40 years but even so you are only as good as your workers. Excellent job Chesil Beach Motors Weymouth & Portland.
It's the system that all Ford dealers are/will be using. I got mine last week. I didn't even buy it from this dealer, they weren't allowed to sell them when I ordered mine, but because they have done all the work on it so far they send out the reminders. But the system automatically assumes every car has an annual service. Like I said in an earlier post, I will be have an inspection in 2/3 weeks just as a safety check and to renew breakdown cover. It will be handy just before I go to the airport to go away.@portlandg - I’m bringing mine down to you for any work in future ?
My dealer emailed me today to say my annual service was due (WTF !?)
Oh yes that oil needs changing and those plugs need checking - fecking idiots honestly!
Once I get my hands on my MY22 it’s not going anywhere near that dealership again!
Just got an update from the whereismymme.com saying car has been discharged in Antwerp?Hi Richard,
The Grande Mirafiori just left Veracruz for Antwerp. Did your MME receive any status update? Mine did not.
But ?
Mine shows still in Mexico Veracruz. I have read the same in other threads, but probably it means that your car is on the boat to Antwerp. Good for you.Strange!
ok whereismymme is now showing car back in Mexico with a next shipment date of 30th April. This afternoon it said car was in Antwerp and I could see the shipping info with voyage information, discharge date time Etc
Think I will call dealer and see if they have any information.
It might be that it won't update properly, is there a known way to extract the actual ship information from Ford or we just get the compound in/out messages something like 2-3 days later that it happened.Mine shows still in Mexico Veracruz. Correct, the Grande Mirafiori goes straight to Antwerp. I do not know where/how to get other info.It might be that it won't update properly, is there a known way to extract the actual ship information from Ford or we just get the compound in/out messages something like 2-3 days later that it happened.
Now when the Grimaldi's Grande Mirafiori isn't going to the US but directly to Antwerp, then whereismymme won't get the customs information from US and it probably just guesses that our cars are still in Mexico. That's my guess what is happening.
Maybe there will be an update for the Ford VMACS status in the near future, it would give a hint that we would be in the ship.
My puddle lights are fine, but since the 21P22 updates plus other module updates I've also had the same issue with the drivers door button, sometimes 1 press, sometimes 2, sometimes 3! I'll raise it again when I can get the motivation to book in for my windscreen recall!Oh dear. After a couple of days living with my car after the recalls work and software update I am not a happy chappy. The software update HASN'T made a blind bit of difference to my main grips at the moment. At times my cars welcome lights DON'T light up when I approach. Also it takes 2 or 3 attempts to open the drivers door with the button. Sometimes the back door on drivers side will open. The latest software update that was done as part of the recall was supposed to have updated all 4 door modules. If it did, it wasn't to rectify this issue. I am STILL having problems with both issues. Shame. Not the dealers fault. Someone at Ford needs to have a serious look at the coding for the doors/welcome lights. I will be speaking to my dealer on Tuesday.
So sorry to hear you’re having problems … and so weird how two almost identical cars seem to handle the same software differently.Oh dear. Well that's good to hear. Appreciate you looking. Any news in your new one?So sorry to hear you’re having problems … and so weird how two almost identical cars seem to handle the same software differently.
You did have rather a lot of updates (over 20) applied to the car in one day. I have heard others say that the car benefited from a good old master reset to allow the changes to properly bed in after so much change. Just a thought.
I can confirm all four door controllers were updated to the latest software though - in fact your dealer did absolutely everything available to Job#1 cars.
It appears to have got stuck in good old Antwerp. Been there for 3 weeks with absolutely no status updates.Well that's good to hear. Appreciate you looking. Any news in your new one?
I remember only too well. 26th May looking favourite then ?I’m lucky at least I have a MME already that I can enjoy until the new one arrives, I feel for all the others who are waiting for their first to arrive. We remember what that was like!
