Hi everyone,

This is my first post/reply
My MME was in the same ship that arrived on the 29th of March in Antwerp.
I received an email on Monday from Ford saying that I would have my car within 2-3 weeks.
When I phoned the dealership yesterday they said they would have a look and get back to me.
Today I received a phone call saying that my car is in and to arrange a day for collection!
I assume that most of you that had their cars in the same ship will have,if not had already,a similar mail/phone call.And a question for the Scottish MME owners:
Is charging actually free in Scotland and if so what's the app?
Many thanks

I'm not a Scottish owner but regularly travel to Scotland for work. The charging is free mostly for slow AC chargers using Charge Place Scotland. I have the RFID card that I think you have to buy. For me in reality I also use the Ionity chargers south of Glasgow centre at Polmadie, at Gretna Services and at Perth by A9. There are a few 50kW CPS chargers but I have found that you cannot rely upon them to work always. Hope this helps

UK folks, what kind of ranges and consumption are you getting in this weather?

i was away for two weeks on vacay and returned to warmer weather. i have done only local drives thus far and for my 4X am getting 3-5.2 m/kwh. average seems to be 3 m/kwh.

i haven't charged fully so am not relying on my GOM.
I'm getting about 3 but i don't really do long drives...mainly short trips...

Don't normally take much notice as I plug it in at work every few days so getting free juice all the time...

I'm now up to over 27000 miles in my Mach E (anyone else got higher?), I'm used to the niggles and after not noticing any change at all from the 1.7 update (notes hasn't even appeared) I no longer check for updates, I just let them do their thing! My only real observation is the stone chip damage to the bonnet and front bumper, never known a car like it and I've no idea why this is, anyone else notice this?

Wow, either you're extremely lucky, or i am extremely unlucky... mine was on the same ship and just spoke with my dealer who states it still in limbo in Antwerp currently with an ETA to them of the 21st May! (bear in mind this is the 3rd delay they've given me)

I'm currently awaiting a call back from a manager in light of your post ?

I got an email from Ford last Saturday (see below) saying my car had reached Europe.

That’s quite good of them considering it was offloaded from the ship at Antwerp a month ago ?

Still no formal ETA from dealer - so @AzumA you are not alone.

At least it's not just me then? ?

Not sure what the delay is and the dealer has literally zero insight as to what's happening, where in the process it is, or any real likelihood of it arriving on their ETA's... simply put, they stated they won't know anything further until it arrives in the UK :rolleyes:

I have done 7551 miles and according to trip 2 which I reset on day 1 I have done 4.4 m/kwh. Happy with that.

I have had no emails, updates to dashboard at all. Last week, I called dealer and car is in Antwerp with a discharge date of 4/4 . Dealer seemed to think delivery date of mid June!

Hi,

I had a couple of questions in relation to our various recalls, as mine is booked in for two weeks time to do the pano roof, windscreen (replacement) and software.

I've had my RWD ER for 10 months (a Job#1 car from late 2020!) and it's still great, albeit a few on-going niggles ??

Re: the software update, I'm on 2.3 already (I think!) so is there any way of finding out what modules/updates need to be applied when the car goes in ?

On the roof and windscreen, like @portlandg , I'll video/photo all round but hopefully like him and @Tony.T all will be well. Has anyone had any problems with either the roof or windscreen work ?

Finally, my rear brake disks are fairly badly scored while the front disks are perfect- this has been on-going and there have been various posts on the subject, but I wondered whether anyone had new disks fitted to remedy this (hopefully under warranty) ? If so, I'll see if I can get this done at the same time.

Thanks for any thoughts or help on this,
David
Hi David,

I had all my work done by Bristol Street Motors, Wigan. Everything has gone to plan with great service.

1st visit - They checked my discs and pads and found them to be faulty. They were badly scorched;

2nd visit - They replaced all my discs and pads free of charge after agreeing the work with Ford’s;

3rd visit - They resealed the pano roof, did the software updates and checked the windscreen. They confirmed mine had the faulty windscreen and said it would need replacing;

4th visit - They liaised with the glass company who fitted a new windscreen.

I can’t fault any of their work. I’ve had a Kuga PHEV each time and regular updates.

Hope You get on OK getting yours sorted. ??

Quick review of Gridserve Norwich Electric Forecourt Opening Day - 21/04/22

IMG_8895.jpeg

So in a nutshell - the facilities look great, there is a plentiful supply of chargers, but the staff need time to get their s**t together. Charging costs are above average. I have no plans to return to the site in the near future.

I hope deep down that this site will be a success as we need quality infrastructure like this to make expanding EV ownership viable - but they need to be careful not to price themselves out of the market.
Update 30th April….

So my last update was quite critical - but an honest representation of my user experience…. roll on a couple of weeks and it’s the Bank Holiday weekend.

I’m having to do a few long trips back and forth this weekend, plus going to lots of house viewings as we’ve just sold our house. Not sure what’s going on - but typical situation - need a rapid charge and almost every DC Rapid charger (including the IONITY ones) in the city seems to be out of action. So after saying I wouldn’t be going back anytime soon I find myself back at Gridserve.

Pleased to report a much better experience that my first two trips. Plentiful supply of chargers that all appeared to be working, and the staff in the charging area were pro-active in making sure every car that drew in and parked up was shown how everything worked.

Inside still felt a little void of atmosphere, so I just grabbed a bottled drink from M&S and went back down to the car to wait while it charged.

So in summary - getting better - now classed as a reliable backup if Ultra Rapid charging is required and other outlets are unavailable - still expensive. They may win me over eventually ?
