Can you elaborate on how the new ac button changes the cooling / heating system please?

Hiya

No difference to the functionality - the AC button from the main heating & cooling page has just been duplicated on the main screen for ease of access.

Definitely don’t wiggle or wave your foot side to side.

The most effective method is a single straight line on/out with the foot in the centre of the bumper.

Also you need to have they key with with you. If your key is in your bag in the front of the car the hands free won’t work. You have to use the button in that scenario.

I had the same problem and took it into my dealer. I gave the dealer details of TSB 22-2150. After trying to update the APIM module a couple of times unsuccessfully, they implemented TSB 22-2150 and were then able to continue. I’m now on 2.3.0 and very pleased. You don’t need the physical module replacing but the dealer will need to apply the fix. Click on my name and read my previous posts for more details and contact details for Ford if your dealer says they can’t help. Good luck.

Thanks Mark, I am going to leave it for a few weeks as i am off for a couple of weeks and see if it updates automatically . If it doesnt i will speak to my nice friendly dealer and use the info you gave me if needed .

Haha, this is what I do (in a car park, where you don’t know who is watching), foot in and out on the centre and if the boot doesn’t open, a double press on the key fob in my pocket ?. Hopefully anyone watching thinks kicking your leg in and out and the boot opens is so cool ?.

Seriously mine works most of the time with a couple of kicks, and when you think you have the right ‘kick’ point the next time it doesn’t work. Key fob works ever time…….but car initially locked, then close the boot with either centre or dedicated boot close button and the horn beeps twice telling you something is open like as if you are trying to lock the car. ?

Went for Absolute Black Std range AWD. So lucky as only ordered 9 weeks ago, and the week before the price jump. Glad it arrives tomorrow because my mini jcw is starting to really get on my nerves!

Same model as mine. I ordered mine mid March do similar time scale. I tried out the electric mini, great fun but range not practical for me. Not a patch on the JCW!

I think it's listed as "Space White", but yeah the same thing to all intents and purposes! haha.

It's honestly the best car i've driven / owned, ever. I'm used to driving our forklifts with OPD at the warehouse for my business so activated this right away and, wow, the experience is all the more enjoyable for me.

One thing i was confused about and perhaps someone can give me advice on this (@
Wonky_Donkey / @portlandg maybe) is the green lines beside the image of the car on the top console, sometimes they are green in parallel, then one side green, then randomly the little car image goes orange, i'm baffled as to what this might be?

Other than that (oh, and the dealer somehow heavy-handedly screwing my plates in and cracking the plastic), it's amazing and i can't see myself getting bored any time soon!
